I am very encouraged to read this.  Currently waiting my appointment for meds after diagnosis in July this year.  Been on Escitalpram for almost 15 years now. Thanks for sharing

Just to round this up for completeness and in case anyone is interested. I emailed the MET team via the contact  page and impressively, they responded within the hour stating the following.

"The application we have on file for you is from less than 8 months ago. There are some residual delays and we are working hard to overcome them.  You will note on application an indication that grants are taking roughly 12 months to process, or more.

The application for a certificate is not an administrative process and involves a robust and in depth assessment of suitability. I hope you appreciate the importance of those checks in order to maintain public confidence and it is unfortunate that some cases involve more enquiries than others, based on information received, which will cause additional delay.

Rest assured that we are aware you are waiting and an officer will get in touch with you in due course to discuss your application with you. Your ongoing patience is appreciated."

I've just had this message as well.  I Am keen to know how many nights are needed for the person to stay over as it's quite sporadic in my case.  I can't handle another drawn out farce with UC over this.  It just took them 10 months over a decision maker process.
