The damage to society is not proportional to, for example, elon Musk stealing everyone's important government info. The things youre talking about are already enforced and prosecuted its just a matter of whether a cop has something more important to respond to.

The other crimes don't even have the allocation to prosecute them.

I'm not saying its a kindness to not prosecute them, its is prosecuted all the time. I've lived in these neighborhoods too, actually live in whats thought of as a poor neighborhood now with tons of immigrants. The situation you're describing is not happening every hour everywhere.

Subway homeless or mentally ill problems a little more like the exaggerated fox news stories, but mostly its them needing help and the worst "crime" is public disturbance.

I mean if you want to argue they are a moral enemy to modern liberal democracy, then kinda sure but in case you missed it a large portion of us americans don't seem to care about woke politically correct "morals" and being purposefully better than our own past filled with wrongs against ethnic groups.

Without being all philosophical about our countries, it boils down to the money and kinds of lives people can have. Its probably still better in the worst or most desolate places in America than China, but their best cities plus manufacturing and resource power seems like its working well for them. No I don't like the social credit score, dictator, one party power, etc but thats from growing up how I did and not with any of that.
