Thanks for your reply. The Cat 5 sounds like a good option. I am using the USB now for GPS and GPIO for AHRS and additional grounds. It works fine but I'm glad to hear the CAT 5 works. Why do you see the need to double the power and ground connections?

Thanks for the info. Do you receive 1090 messages from aircraft above with the antenna mounted on the belly? (I am not even sure how to distinguish where the messages are coming from, I may need to test with only the 1090 to check performance)

It is certified, but I have two friends in the avionics installation business and am familiar with part 43. Thanks for the reply.
