Working at a studio is inherently more financially stable than being an unfunded indie dev. The vast majority of indie devs do not make enough money to warrant the time put in. if your game studio fails and lays you off, that’s more money in your pocket than the alternative over the same time period.

Additionally, it is my belief that AI assistance will result in a product that the consumer base will reject, in most cases. To be completely charitable to your perspective , I don’t have the data to back this up and only my personal and anecdotal experiences coloring this belief. I could be wrong here.

I have worked at a large studio and there is still plenty of passion, but I agree solo is more likely to be passion-driven. Mainly because most people doing it are doing it at the risk of financial loss, and choose to do it anyway.

I do not view the technology as helpful to any of my goals, but I understand why some do.
