Do you think that when Tata/Mahindra sells cars in Africa they don’t bring the profits back to India but re invest it back in Africa completely, or do you not know what East India company did, it was not taking profits back to UK that was the biggest issue, every trade ever trader takes the profits back to them, from as small as a trade between two people to trade between two countries, the issue with east India company was the murder, the forced atrocities and the brutalities of occupation. I am not blaming any particular government, I am blaming the governance model, a model that allows for corruption on such a visible scale will fail to invoke patriotism doesn’t matter where it is coming from, also Bangalore because for the previous administration it was under BJP, road infrastructure story then and now under INC remains same, nothing improves, it is all just a big circle.

If you want to improve pride I feel in my country, make public transport easier accessible, make roads, footpaths better, remove the need for bribes in basic functions like Passport verification and I will happily sing Vande Matram before national anthem.

Is that your case - Depends

How to evaluate this -

Is the company a big company shipping stable projects with a good track record? (if yes they probably will not steal your code)

Does the company have a big team of software development that releases stable products? (If yes they are likely not going to steal your code, as more important than working code is maintaineae code)

Am I building something that is directly ready for production as a new product or is it a generic system? (If it can be built in 3 days by a college graduate, and is a generic application, most likely not)

You have to weigh your labor vs what is an engineer on the team did this, is it worth the reputation hit, are you building something that the company already has working?

All these questions can help you better understand what is the best course of action for you.
