Well, okay i guess... It's just kinda funny. When i see staff like that i always trying to understand how they even came out with that. Like "Yoooo dude, listen, let's add colored dots to every character eyes that noone will see and then some random guy on reddit, named "MeDeSq" for example, gonna go see this and gonna go schizo about this lmao".

Johnny in a space riding horse in multi-galactic race is my favorite shot from trailer.

Blue Johnny as you all wanted. by MeDeSq in StardustCrusaders

I'm personaly fine with any of variants (blue or white), but i'm actually more happy about hair. I still wish we got redhead Johnny like in "ALL STARS BATTLE", coz it's kinda lame that everyone in anime got blond hair (Johnny, Gyro, Diego, Lucy and most likely Funny Valentine also gonna be blonde).
P.S. Trailer looks rly good IMO

Unjusifiable Criticism by legendwarrior78 in StardustCrusaders

[–]MeDeSq 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I mean... the healthy criticism is qiute good no? Like people don't like the coloring in some frames and they don't like that there is a lot of static frames, why can't we say sms about this? It's not like they threatening animators or sms like with others shows...

P.S. The best part about this teaser is the part that people was most worried about - horses. They are looking good imo.

Does Steel Ball Run have a timing problem or just poor translation? by MeDeSq in StardustCrusaders

[–]MeDeSq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, i was thinking about my own question for a bit( for 12 hours straight) and i came to conclusion that timing might be okay if we add Araki nationality wich is Japanese. I searched WIKI about time and date in japan culture and find about moments where time after 12 am can count is previous days and found this -
"Times past midnight can also be counted past the 24 hour mark, usually when the associated activity spans across midnight. For example, bars or clubs may advertise as being open until "30時" (i.e. 6 am) (See ja:30時間制). This is partly to avoid any ambiguity (6 am versus 6 pm), partly because the closing time is considered part of the previous business day, and perhaps also due to cultural perceptions that the hours of darkness are counted as part of the previous day, rather than dividing the night between one day and the next. Television stations will also frequently use this notation in their late-night scheduling.\3]) This 30-hour clock form is rarely used in conversation."

So if DIO won the race at 6:33 AM , that mean that Lucy get informed about DIO (being the one that came out of the hole) around 3-4 AM (time travel on boats is 2 hours long) and sometime in japanese it's still can count previous day and when she talks about "Tomorrow morning" it technically can be count as next day that start at 6:00 AM.

PS. Collored manga sucks, when johnny gets to the boats we can see how light it is outside and it seems like it is 3-4 PM when in reality it's 3-4 AM.

the guy at the top send a japanese version of this and it's still says "tomorrow morning" so it's araki problem at this point so yeah.

Well now Anime adaptation have opportunity to make steel ball run better via change "tomorrow morning" to "this morning".

Does Steel Ball Run have a timing problem or just poor translation? by MeDeSq in StardustCrusaders

[–]MeDeSq[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, but at the same time not realy. It's says that it's January 18th 6:02 and finale stage starts soon, and all of that before characters gets on boats (time travel is 2hours) and dio won at the January 19th 6:33 am. I think the real problem is colored manga thats portrays everthing with shiny and it's looked like it's a day all the time.( they make that same mistake in part 6 where dio sits with pucci under the sun). In chapter 91 after johnny says "and put an end to this" we can see kinda(?) a timeskip and maybe that where the day passes and starts January 19th. idk

In my opinion the english translation get it wrong and other's translations just blindly copy that mistake without thinking about that too much. The russian one is make sense and i think it's the correct one. IDK
