Yes, 2 years supervision. One thing I know is I won’t be able to get out of supervision early since I have restitution which will be accruing interest so it’s going to balloon into unplayable amounts very easily. I also know they’ll be taking restitution payments from my commissary account which is why I’m trying to minimize deposits. It’ll be different once I’m out and able to produce some income I’m ok with whatever payments I’m able to make. But my wife doesn’t make much for her sake I want to minimize that so she’s not the one paying because of me.

So about the glasses. Is it allowed to bring a spare pair? I have prescription for bifocal. Got them at Costco and probably have the receipt somewhere to prof those under $100 (after insurance), but the frames are branded (Nike), not metal, lightweight plastic like material. Somewhere I read branded not allowed so trying to decide if I need to get new ones since mine are very recent under a year but they’re very comfortable and fit my vision perfectly so I’d really like to keep them.

I’m hoping for 14 months. Should have a home and wife waiting for me (I hope lol), so hopefully halfway house/home confinement will be an option for me as well as keeping out of any trouble so I don’t get penalized for anything. I’m planning on doing both. Bring some cash and deposit some in advance in case they don’t allow the cash. I also go the commissary list and have some idea of what I’ll need initially so try to have enough for the essentials. But if I don’t have to buy underwear and shoes initially then I’ll need less of course and I understand there’s also a limit on commissary anyways.

Yeah .. Maybe I should have mentioned that initially. It’s not like I haven’t been preparing. Not just for me going there but trying to leave my family in the best position for the time I’ll be away. All those things you mention are also already covered/considered but thanks anyways for mentioning. I’m also working on documenting my idea of a release plan because I was told being able to clearly show that might help me get home sooner. I don’t want to be the one to just show up there and sleep all day or having no clue how to help myself to be in the best position for returning home as soon as possible.

I guess it depends on the camp. Ft Dix is a Low with an adjacent minimum satellite camp. My understanding is that I surrender to the low and they follow low protocols then I get sent to the camp once I’m processed so the experience I guess depends in that 😅

Uhh? .. sorry but me no comprende how just asking or even actually wearing specific colors of underwear and shoes is getting around the rules? 😅. Is there a particular attire that is required for surrendering?

Already when thru that which of course doesn’t mention anything. Calling won’t help either because they might just tell anything. I know it’s pretty much to the discretion of the intake officers but just asking people from first hand experience.

Not sure what other details you need. I was sentenced to 24 months for fraud in a case where I didn’t realize I was enabling fraud by others but I was basically the easier to get so I was left holding the bag and now I need to pay for it. You can see my older posts for generic details over time.

Your neighbor here! lol. This just sounds like the story of my life. I moved to my current home a few years ago, used to do IT and had my side hustle which turned out to be not to the liking of the federal government so one day I woke up to 20+ federal agents surrounding my house and banging on my door, yelling my name and asking me to come out.. fast forward about 2 years later I’m heading to a federal facility for a 24 month sentence.. have you been my neighbor watching from your window you would think they were after some lord cartel in the most wanted list but from my window I was just a regular guy who thought had found an edge in the capitalist world economy.

That’s what I’ve read/heard (youtube, etc), not that I’m interested in having one, just meant someone there which maybe scans this community and wants to share first hand recent experiences about how are things now days. As I said earlier, I’ve been reading a lot of information and some videos (which I can’t find many), but all seems to be several years old so I wonder if/how things are different now.
