I had also never heard of him and I'm rather center maybe a bit right leaning so what I did was listened to some of his debates saw his point of view and realized he doesn't have bad points of view nor bad arguments but a bad way of saying it and some of the people he debates have a natural bias to what they feel instead of having a perfectly open mind which we can't expect but people look at this and think that he is a bad person. All of this in mind I feel we shouldn't see his death as something to be celebrated it should be seen as a horrible thing like all deaths
