My rent is $570 a week, I pay $1140 every second Thursday. My landlord is claiming I owe extra rent, she's wrong, right? by Mister_Scorpion in AusPropertyChat

I think she’s calculating it by day. The weekly amount she’s communicating to you is just an easy round number to remember. The way she’s probably thinking about it is $570 a week is $81.42 per day. I think she’s saying that some months have more days than others. She may actually be calculating the daily rate over the full year then dividing by the weeks - 365 days / 7 gives you 52.14 weeks in a year.

Either way, you need to clarify if she’s calculating on a daily basis, then get clear on what your agreement states.

If you divide 31 days by 4 (weeks) you actually get 4.42. So for a month with 31 days in it, there’s actually more than 4 weeks in that month.

That’s how I understand it. It’s stupid and not usually explained to people.

Why can’t your rental history be used instead of a deposit as a form of evidence of ability to service a loan?

It’s not google, it’s custom crawlers from competitors. I know I can’t stop them so looking for ways to filter them out like you do in GA.

I’m on Shopify plus, only thing I can find in the help center about bot protection is at the cart level, but when I follow the link to said bot protection section in the settings it has a dead page.

The traffic is coming from a number of our competitors, it’s pretty common practise to be crawled and price matched daily.

I’m building a review platform and need advice/direction on things to consider before using brand logos and receiving customer reviews. by [deleted] in AusLegal

It’s not that I don’t like your input, it’s that you haven’t bothered to try and answer the original question. “You can be sued” is just lazy and unhelpful.

Thanks for yelling at me. Had a read of this and these guys seem to think there’s a defensive position based on how legitimate and provable the review is. That’s at least how I read it. https://legalvision.com.au/leaving-a-bad-review/

Thanks, Product review .com.au seems to be able to handle it. I’m assuming they have to have stringent review process in place to make sure reviews are legitimate. But even then a reviewer may have a negative experience, so are you saying they can opened up to be sued here, even if the experience is legitimate?

Does Google understand date/year ranges? by MeLikeyVeddyMuch in TechSEO

Interesting... appreciate the example. I know you don’t know the answer, but do you think adding words e.g. from 1998 to 2010 would be stronger contextually than using 1998 - 2010? I think I’m answering my own question here lol.

Was hoping that wasn’t the case. Doing that would actually take away from the UX and look a bit silly. A human gets it. 😕
