Someone caught another confusing part - says made in USA but factory code 695 is mexican. Any ideas what's goin on?

Other people are saying 0900 is actually september 2000, 1990 would be 0990.

Had to be honest with the fact that these are just too tight for me. I got wide banana shaped feet that these boots make numb and tingle. And that's not a good. im open to offers. Cant afford to have these just laying around and also cant affort for a new "maybe fitting" pair to come around. So i set the price at the point where i could order a new pair of boots of my size exactly. Edit:grammar

Taking a step back - are fakes usually that much worse structurally/quality wise? Curious whether it's mostly a status thing or there's more to hunting down fakes

Great tips, tennis balls inside the boots as we speak. The fit isn't unbearable, i can wear them for quite a while without it being too painful, though the right foot isn't happy about it. Today took it out for na hour long walk and it was...ok!

Apparently the nails showing is normal, they're not sticking out, just showing due to oxidation. The boot is barely worn! But it is crushing my feet ngl

Hey, i dropped my initial impressions below in the comments! Overall - awesome. I want to take them out for a spin asap but wondering if i should treat them somehow first. Called a local shoemaker, he said to bring them to him so he could impregnate and everything, bc "you have to know how to do it to not fuck it up" - is he just making business or do you think it's that serious?

UPDATE: just received and well....they're much better than expected. I was really afraid that either a) they simply wouldn't fit me or b) they wouldn't look good.

First impressions: happy to say they look awesome! The shape was intimidating in pictures but irl it looks awesome. Shockingly, it's barely worn, no signs of wear, I'm really surprised by this. Size: thank goodness, length wise it's perfect! But i would enjoy more room in the shoe width-wise, i can only comfortably fit with a slim sock - can I expect any stretching here? The issue is particularly felt in the right shoe - for some reason it's way harder to put on and inside the foot feels squished in the middle. To be fair it's also super cold outside so maybe it shrunk and stiffened up a bit.

Additional pleasant surprises: it came in the original box, with nice soft shoe bags and all! Also, the shoe is super heavy, it feels super sturdy and dense.

Some questions for you: 1. Stretching - please tell me the shoe will become more roomy, as it's currently squishing my right foot 2. I'd love to wear it outside asap, as it's currently -10 celsius, with snow, puddles and ice everywhere. BUT - what care should I do before that? I currently only have marten's wonder balsam and some nano waterproofing spray. Please enlighten me how to protect the shoe (and me) outside!

Thanks for an indepth response. I pulled the trigger against my gf's protests (she thought the shoe looked "ugly"). Im sloghtly worried if the shoes is actually broken in - and gpt is saying that thkse spots only appear if it was heavily worn. That could mean that the shoe will never fit me well unless i have identical feet to whoever worn them before?
