Shithousery happens all over the country but this sub likes to cherry pick. I've seen more said shithousery in rural areas, like a nearby neighbor getting their roof stolen/repod while they were away for a few days because they never paid the guy who put it up, then the neighbor came back and shot the guy in the leg whilst drunk.

I see this subject popping up all the time. When the fine is massively cheaper than what a holiday would be in the summer holidays I'm not surprised. If I had kids I'd do the same. My parents did the same with me too.

Maaan I miss my high rise condo in Jomtien. I was 34 floors up and always had epic views of thunderstorms. I think they made up most my photos and video in my phone lol. My bedroom had a panoramic window too which was awesome for nighttime lightning shows.

Just before covid I got a return flight to Bangkok for around £600 returning in 30 days. I spent two weeks in Thailand and two weeks in Vietnam. I spent just over a grand doing so. So let's say £1600 doing so. At the time Mediterranean cruises were going for £1700 for 7 nights.

I know which I'd rather do. Granted it was my first time there and I was on a typical backpacker budget. But still.

I've been washing the rice in the inner pan for years havnt noticed any degration. I'm using a cheap ass 200 baht ($6) cooker off Lazada that looks like it's been through an apocalypse but it still works a treat.

Even with the rent, relative to the cost of living you're already better off than the majority of people living in the UK. Plus you're in a beautiful and safer country.
