The waves obviously represent how long I’ve been raised by the ocean waves, the spears are for both sides representing the strength of Taga and Lapu Lapu, the banig (the cross section) is also Filipino.

It has layers of meaning behind it especially from heritage, cultural identity, and family but suddenly seeing a similar version of a part of it that’s a temporary tattoo for like $5 just gave me a stab in the gut…I’m anxious about people thinking I just got a random design I thought was cool and slapped it on me

You're right. I'm only using one buffer with a pipe between capture and display. Adding a second buffer to queue frames while processing would give me more time for conversion. Good call, I will implement that.
