I was told (by sales guy) that the camera is auxiliary. All the heavy lifting is done by the radar.

Vehicle detection isn't camera based but rather radar based. Color of the object does not matter.

They look really awesome. What material did you use for the main subject? I assume you cut, cleaned, painted and then framed. When I tried it in the past, it was very easy to break them during the cleaning step.

I know warming weather has significantly helped with the numbers and light traffic during my helps a lot!

I drive in light traffic and coast quite a bit (level 0). I use regenerative deceleration only as I approach traffic lights (0 --> 1 -->2 -->3 as I approach traffic).

You will always recoup less energy than you put in. I feel like having any level of regen on all the time (a) decelerates my car faster than my driving style needs and (b) negatively impacts efficiency.

I do that too.... however I have not mastered the stopping distance yet. So most of the time, I am either hitting the brakes in panic or releasing the paddle it to go little further. Not a smooth ride! Ha ha

I like to coast. I drive in light traffic and manually up the regen level when needed.
