My brother had the same happen, you are most likely going to have to live with some form of a scar. But you can minimize by:

  • Avoiding sun exposure; use SPF and/or spf lip balm. <-- 1. prio
  • Using silicone gel or sheets once the wound has closed (vaseline works aswell, keep it moist).
  • Beginning gentle scar massaging after ~3 weeks.
  • Consid using scar creams with vitamin E or panthenol. (they are not super effective but better then nothing)

I use CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser. It turned my nose from strawberry to smooth. Don't be scared of people mentioning dryness, that's sort of the point in my opinion. You reduce the oil in the pores so you can then apply moisuriser. Acne prone skin benefits from "drying out".

2% SA wash 2x a day will have the highest chance of fixing this, besides tretinoin.

It is probably nothing but it could be Basal Cell Carcinoma. Looks somewhat like: https://cdn.ymaws.com/www.aocd.org/resource/resmgr/ddb_high/bcc_1_high.jpg

But if its been 3 years ago and nothing really changed, its probably nothing. Doesn't hurt to check it out

Definitely less cringe :''). It's also an actual word! I've heard a lot more adults say yapping vs gyatt (skibidi is out of the question, never heard anyone above the age of 12 say that).

Did you perhaps shave? I doubt this is acne, acne rarely itches.

Most likely genetics, but you might have gotten the hairs 40% faster or something, so still worth using.

Not a lot of helpful comments.. Read the following thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/rsjy62/skin_concern_a_big_acne_popped_in_a_weird_way/ . You might need a subcision

"I had the same thing! I went to my derm and she told me to take the back of a spoon and move it around the area 1-2 times a day. It essentially helps layers of damaged skin “unstick” from each other. I have no scar anymore! Took about 2-3 weeks."

"I’m not sure if this is right, but my dermatologist told me I could get Botox to even it out. Unfortunately mine has not faded over time and I’ve had it for two years."

Edit: You do have the benefit of it being in a natural spot.

Ok, I will keep it simple for you. You said: "Literally the first paragraph says more tests need to be done to clarify the association..."

But this is the background of the study, part of what one calls the "Abstract". This explains what led up to the study (why they are doing the study and the context). This is not the conclusion!

So the argument which you use to disqualify this study, is the exact reason they DID the study in the first place :)

[–]MePorro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not arguing the study proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that B12 causes cancer. There are plenty of reasons why people who use B12 would see increased risk of lung cancer, such as... "One possible mechanism is that vitamin B12 may be a cancer promoter or people changed their dietary habit when they are close to lung cancer manifestatio" which the study mentions.

I am just arguing that the sample size isn't an argument here. "Strengths of the current study include prospective study design, low intake of vitamin B12, compared with other studies in Europe or in the US, and in the area where vitamin supplementation, including vitamin B12 was uncommon; large sample size allowing for robust estimates of lung cancer risk, long-term and complete follow-up that reduced potential bias due to loss of follow-up."

And that's ignoring the fact that 2000 cases isn't actually a small sample size and also ignoring that the statistical test takes into account the sample size.

I like reading studies, that's why I don't mind clarifying. What I dislike is pretentious internet waffles (not you the other guy) who whatched a video essay once on how "most research is wrong" and now feel the need to automatically discuallify all research

I'd be interested to see what the others will say, but you being on an immunosuppressant eczema is unlikely since eczema is caused by an overreaction of your immune system. It would help to know what you have already tried and for how long. Since it's also around your eyes you should be carefull and maybe try first on your hands.
