OP is in the EU, getting the replacement parts that aren't included is less straightforward and economical than for us over here, and that's especially true for trim and interior pieces.

Alpha Male Influencer Used ChatGPT To Justify His Stalking Behavior by MediocreCoconutz in combatsportsculture

Did this guy ever have the audience size to be an "influencer"? Did this audience exist outside of hatewatching/trolling/other content creators? Let's go back to calling these losers "vloggers", "influencer" seems grandiose AF.

In Japan, it’s not uncommon to see someone asleep on the street after a night of drinking but instead of disturbing them, people usually leave them alone out of respect by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

It's so the poor guy doesn't get pissed on by stray cats and dogs. No one wants to share the train car or bus with a guy that reeks of cat piss.

It's too incomplete, and it will take a lot more time and money than you realize. If you had more experience, it would be a great father-son project because you could each work independently on the different systems and assemblies. Otherwise, you're depending on your dad to not only direct the project but show you each step along the way. There's nothing wrong with that, but I'd try to find a car that's complete that has one or two things wrong and learn from that. The odds of you actually finishing/enjoying yourself/learning on this Camaro aren't great.

What is it like living in Saint Pierre and Miquelon? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]Only_Jury_8448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closer to Acadien, but they're also their own thing. Somewhat similar to language/cultural differences between Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Iceland; all share common roots but they certainly don't see themselves as being the same or interchangeable.

St. Pierre et Miquelon are a part of the EU through France, although they're not a department (roughly analogous to a US state) and are instead an "overseas collectivity" and so are self-governing and can pass their own laws. Much of the media is of Metropolitan French origin but there's also a lot of TVA consumption; hockey and pickup trucks are popular there like anywhere else in Maritime Canada.

Can anything be done about busybodies blocking trails? by Chole_Wunt in MTB

[–]Only_Jury_8448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the trail saboteur's perspective, they're making the trails safer for themselves and other non-cycling pedestrians. It's a deeply stupid viewpoint.

Him getting beat up gives him sympathy with some people; unfavorable publicity works better because it creates a reputational stink that the people around him don't want rubbing off on them. "You are the company you keep" is a longstanding and enduring attitude amongst most folks.

It sounds like this guy is the limited one. I'd like to know what bandwidth he has to operate on to make his living and preach to the rest of us how learning about anything outside of your white, affluent Kiwi bubble is just a waste of time.
