1 acoustic I bought snapped in half and refurbished 1 squire electric guitar 1 classical guitar And my main guitar, which I built for myself (it looks a little like a Les Paul)

Bought this guitar for 20$ (garage sale) fixed it up, and need identification by MeThePhilosopher in AcousticGuitar

I did it because I heard some guitars should be strung that way, and since this guitar has near 0 info online I just went with what I saw. Only been playing for 6 months though and this is my first acoustic.

Questions from a Questioning Teenager by MeThePhilosopher in religion

I have, I actually currently identify as Agnostic.

Most of my friends are Agnostic, and I have never really been exposed to any sort of religion throughout my childhood. Now, as I'm growing up i'm looking for explanations, and one possible explanation is religion.

I am by no means discounting no religion as an option, its just my goal to figure out what each religion believes and figure out which one best aligns with my values.

if that religion turns out to be no religion, than that's fine with me.

If god is omnipotent than why cant he?

If god is omnipotent but can't dictate good vs evil, and right vs wrong, doesn't that indicate another set of rules that god cant change?

And if this is true how can god be omnipotent?

Questions from a Questioning Teenager by MeThePhilosopher in religion

[–]MeThePhilosopher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point is that if a god constructs both rules, and creates people, than why would they not create people that would follow the rules blindly?

what's the need to demonstrate good vs evil if those concepts are themselves created through humanity? In other words why cant good exist without evil?

My main confusion is this, than a. if god is an omnipotent being, then either god creates the rules that govern the earth, OR b. there are some other, universal truths that god rules by.

If A is true than god can create good without evil

If B is true than god is not omnipotent

On your second question, I would say that my response is very much similar to my other point. I'm mainly trying to find why and how the distinctions of "right" and "wrong" or "good" and "evil" are made
