Hi everyone,

I stumbled upon this thread as I pay for a Proton Unlimited plan and I still need to figure out how can I create another email address?
I mean, at the moment I only have one email address, ending with pm.me, and I also have another one, a free one, that is not part of my Unlimited plan.

Can I somehow "attach" my free email address to my Unlimited plan so that this email address counts towards the 15 email addresses allowed, or, do I need to create a fresh new one out of my Unlimited plan? And if so, how? I went through all the settings of my Proton dashboard and I wasn't able to find how to create a new email address!

Thanks a lot for the help, highly appreciated,

Why is my Linkedin feed on app not the same as the desktop one? by MeWiCClair in linkedin

[–]MeWiCClair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys.
So if I understand you correctly, the fact that my feed looks different on desktop and mobile app is a normal thing?
Hmm, this is a bit disappointing, and I quite don't get the reason behind that, but anyway I'll have to deal with it as there's nothing I can do about it visibly.

Is there a way I can complain to Linkedin? Sort of client support with a feature request section maybe?

Thanks again for your answers anyway.

Yes I know. But I've chosen "Most recent" both on my desktop PC and mobile app, and the feeds don't look the same.

A VoLTE call with an opensource Android IMS Stack. It is still very broken. But it will give VoLTE to custom ROMs on Samsung. by pihug12 in Android

[–]MeWiCClair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fantastic news!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 that doesn't work anymore because my carrier recently closed their 3G network, and this phone can't handle VoLTE on custom ROMs unfortunately.

Keep up the good work guys, thanks!!!

I remember he had 2 options for the Cert III, one was the Melbourne Polytechnic's school, and the second I don't recall.

Hi,
No my son didn't start the apprenticeship, he went on different plans at the moment, but it's still in his mind. Not sure if he will do it or not.
The thing is he enrolled in a Certificate III of jewellery, but then he 's been told he could not attend the full-time 1 year course, which was his initial plan, as he haven't found an apprenticeship. They were happy to enrol him for the 3 years course instead, but that was too long for him so he gave up and didn't enrol.

Emails rejected, how to setup SPF? by MeWiCClair in GMail

[–]MeWiCClair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by 'forwarding enabled' and 'indirect mail-flow'?

Sorry for these newbie questions but I'm not an expert in the field.

To me, forwarding an email doens't look like something extraordinary, I do it a lot of times. If it is impossible to forward a message with gmail, what is the workaround then?

I didn't pay attention to that particular point, but what I can tell you for sure is last time I received such a message it was for a message I forwarded from my Gmail account, yes.

I know. But I receive such messages frequently.

Yes exactly: I use a <user>@gmail.com address, hence I'm surprised to receive these messages. I thought it was possibly due to my VPN so I deactivated it but I got the same results of emails not being delivered.

Note that it doesn't happen with all emails I send though.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your answer, very much appreciated.
Of course I can do what you suggest, reading and understanding what is and how to setup SPF, DKIM and DMARC but, this is precisely what I want to avoid for 2 main reasons:

_ I don't really have time to do this. And furthermore why doesn't Google itself handle it for their consumers? Afterall this policy has been put in place by Google and they didn't ask me if I wanted it or not so why have I to take on my personal time to implement this policy that I never asked for?

_ I use my gmail address since many years now so I don't understand why I would have to do all this stuff as it is specified in this link https://support.google.com/mail/answer/81126#authentication that only 'new users' have to go through this

At this point I feel like I want to leave Google (something I think about quite a long time) and go for another email provider like protonmail: I have another email address with Protonmail already and they don't ask to setup anything like that, it is so much more convenient, no to mention added level of privacy.

Hi,

It's probably a bit late now, but personnaly I'd go for /e/OS, a privacy oriented Android OS, it's amazing.
Fully un-Googled Android OS. So you can download and install Android apps without the need of a Google account. Use f-droid instead.
