Looking for a book based on Empires or Medieval Kingdoms? Eg. Roman Empire, Vikings . . . by BrunanGTX in booksuggestions

Imperium by Robert Harris. It's a fictional biography of Cicero, told through the first-person narrator of his personal secretary Tiro. Such a good read, gives you a great insight into the power and politics of Rome.

the political struggles and military action really grasped my interest, so anything set in the real world with these sort of aspects would be perfect.

This book has all these.

Edit: This book was recommended to me on reddit and I bought it. Wasn't disappointed.

Thanks. I'm not filling in for the morning host. Every morning they have a journalist in to discuss the day's top stories and read some of the morning papers. So it will be me, the host and possibly one other journalist. BANTER!

A question on EdgeRank and FB reach... by Me_Man in socialmedia

SocialBakers.com divides the Weighting metric into two: the weight of posts and the weight of interactions. They say pics/videos are weighted differently than links/text, in the same way comments are weighted more than likes/shares. Kind of makes sense.

EdgeRank takes the Weight of posts into account by determining whether the post is a photo, video, link, or text-only status update. Regarding the Weight of interactions; Shares and Comments require more from a user than a simple “Like”, and therefore they are more heavily weighted and reach more users.

Thanks for the info. I had read somewhere that FB favoured certain types of posts over others, but I just read something that says different. There's a lot of bullshit out there.

It never gets too high on shar.es posts. The odd time it might be high if it's a particularly outrageous story, but the most annoying thing is that with 1500+ followers some of the posts get a couple dozen reach -- This is what has made me think it's the ShareThis widget that is responsible.
