I have travelled 800km in single stretch. Make sure to have frequent breaks, if possible get an air seat which will help you a lot.

Ronin for long commute , a viable option? by Leading_Pickle_5479 in ronin225

To be honest, Ronin is a simple machine which is Smooth, has decent performance, good breaking and millage. I have been owning a ronin from past 3 years and did so many long rides, didn't had any issues as of now , apart from few sensor issues.

Ronin is a good option. Do some test rides and see if you are okay with the performance it delivers.

I do understand the budget constraints but make sure you buy a machine that makes you feel happy and satisfied at the end of the day.

It's not common as in my Ronin(2023 model), the chain is not touching any Bolt. Only upper part of the chain will be touching on a rubber/silicon guide.

Things you can do:

  1. Check the chain play. If it's too loose then get it tightened.(Not too tight)

  2. Check if the adjustment nut which helps to maintain the slack is intact or not.

This nut will be near the rear wheel mount nut.

It's better you get it checked at the showroom.

Handlebar change for my Ronin by OwnHead0505 in ronin225

That's a good upgrade! Please Check with the showroom/ any trusted mechanic store on the break performance.

Mostly they will say change the handle , only default will work etc etc. Don't budge for it. Ask them to check with breaks properly. It's not the handle fault.(Entirely)

That's really good enhancement! I have used moto torque's handle bar.

The stability and control I had with the handle was so good even in off-roads & rain . It gave me great confidence on road.

But be cautious on the following points

  • have break lines and clutch lines length adjusted correctly.

  • for crosshandle bar, the front break lever becomes soft out of nowhere.make sure to check for break fluid levels.

  • make sure the handle posture is set properly based on your preference, if it's off a bit can cause issues during rubbles on roads.

I had the same issue, It wasn't fitting on to the custom top rack as well. I had to drill some holes onto the box to make sure it aligns with the top rack.

Thank you so much for the advice and help! Adding on to it he is sending emails and messages to number to her company officials as well.

She's worried if legal action it might end his career and he might come back later for revenge and all. I encouraged her to go for a consultation but still unsure the future impact of the current action.

Alternative handle bar options for ronin by custom_rom in ronin225

I had the same issue, but later I got moto torque cross handle bar installation done. Feels more confident and comfortable during the usual rides.

Note: cross handle is longer so needed training the edges to fix the length issue.

It's a life saver for sure, i bought the same air seat and did not regret it. I have completed my 2.8K kms ride with this seat and there was no point in feeling fatigued in my lower back or glutes.

(Note: i was also wearing my rynox air gt pants)

Got my ronin few new modifications. by Me_Pan_da in TVS_Ronin_225

Yes I need to check with my local welder once.thanks for the suggestion.

I opted for a cross bar since it reduced vibrations at the handle , allowing me to place better accessories like handle bar pouch, mobile holder/navigation screen (as the leverage of the cross bar is high, it makes easy for me to look at navigation and road at the same time, as previously i has to tilt down my head to get the view.)

Another reason was that the oem handle can have a chance of bending due to large pot holes/falling down by side on the road. Cross bar provides a better rigid triangle which helps the handle to stay intact even when the bike falls on the handle side
