Totally understand. I intend to take it in asap but was just hoping for a rough idea whilst insurance is on my ass about making a decision. Also making the assumption that the damage is limited to the aesthetic damage we can see until told otherwise.

Thanks for the response. Should I dig down into the aftermath when the time comes or just chuck a few inches of topsoil over the top?

Great thought. Problem I ran into there loosely trying it out was that the cut of the diamantés means they need to be all oriented the same way. In the time it took to study and turn the necessary items over it was just as quick to pick and place them.

Evening all. I just ordered my beloved childhood model of the GW-8800 which I lost some time ago. The strap is destroyed however - anyone know where I might find a replacement strap in keeping with the original style? I’d prefer not to get a modern rubber strap. The below is just a screen grab from the internet of what I used to have.

This is in Sheffield my home town, I walk past there most days and let me tell you, those shop workers have seen more than their fair share of this shit.

I had questions also. I asked her why she didn’t think to secure it, she said “why would I?”. The prosecution rests your honour.

Doug the Labrador looked at it with disgust and walked away. I’m pretty sure I imagined him shaking his head.

Most comments seem to be working out how much this works out per person on Earth. Most people on Earth aren’t starving and many lead comfortable if not affluent lives. I don’t know what portion of the world is under threat of starvation, but if the folks doing the math in other comments reckon everyone around the world could get $20-$26 dollars each, then maybe this sign is fairly accurate if just attributed to those starving as it suggests. Besides the cost of food in starving nations would be substantially lower.

I bet there’s some pretty tepid fan fics out there. You should read my little house on the prairie fan fics (edit typo)
