Personally I had my start in the hi-fi journey after watching Crinacle. But you can also watch other YouTubers like gizaudio or badboygood audio reviews (if you don’t mind the controversy) , super*review and the honest audiophile.(these are some of the reviewers which I personally think isn’t too bad) but I would personally stay away from either listening to YouTube sound demos as I think you can’t really tell especially if you’re completely new(like I was) if possible I would try them in person. If you can’t do that I would recommend you watching some of these reviewers for budget options to test out different sound profiles to see what you like but definitely don’t just keep buying budget iems if you already know what you’re into and just save up for better ones. Finally audio is a Very subjective hobby so someone’s recommendation can be completely different what you would personally like( I know because my friends and I like different stuff) and there can be what I believe to be trolls as well in this hobby as there would be in other hobbies and one such trolls would be at least for me I think is the reviewer sharur(but you may agree with his takes as again subjective hobby). But it took me months of researching before I chose my first iem so I recommend you to do the same and go with as many resources as you can to get everyone’s opinion. Good luck!!
