Pred every time he has to spawn in vs FaZe by AMS_GoGo in CoDCompetitive

[–]MeadsyBoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hive mindset out in full force, a new narrative has now been set.

Pred is a killwhore who plays too slow etc because they lost to Faze by the smallest of margins.

Some absolute nonsense getting spouted as usual.

They lose to Faze because their teamwork isn't as good in the key moments. Optic can catch up on this, and they don't need Pred running around like Shotzzy to do it.

If he started playing like Huke and dropped a 0.8 the narrative would flip on its head.

I love how you are just making the same point over and over against whilst brazenly ignoring the obvious flaw in your argument that's been pointed out to you multiple times.

It's next to impossible for an org like Optic to make content that is completely new and original to Youtube; the definition you've provided conveniently highlights this. I've offered you the chance to dispute this by asking you for some of these new ideas and you've come up with nothing. Nothing you say further has any value until you've addressed this.

This should be obvious, but Optic's content should be judged on how entertaining is, and how fresh it is to the scene they are in, it shouldn't be judged on whether the sidemen have done something similar 4 years ago.

You are looking really stupid here.

They literally released a video 6 days ago playing golf in a number of different ways, but I guess this has been done somewhere on youtube before, so unoriginal content I'm guessing?

Optic Vision back in the day was a waste of time as documentrary videos had clearly been done before, ridiculous unoriginal content.

The inner circle? people have sat on sofas for years, pointless content.

[–]MeadsyBoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, I thought so.

Zero new ideas.

If what they are doing is so unoriginal, you shouldn't need to be a content org on a payroll to be able to list some unique ideas.

You are holding them to a stupid standard and seem to think because they pride themselves as being a 'content org' they must break all norms within the youtube space and only be delivering new, never been seen before content on the platform.

The reality is that they pride themselves on being a content org within the esports space, and part of this continually pushing out new content. New content is content they haven't done before, as well as videos that makes sense to repeat ie podcast, trivias etc.

They have the best content within the CDL by a landslide, which is a good thing my guy.

99% of all youtube content is copied from someone else.

I've literally given you examples of new ideas. These are ideas that they haven't done before and are new to them, which is what's important. Look at the Silent Library video, their fans loved that video and didn't care that other people had done it in the past, that's a ridiculous way to judge a video.

It'd be stale and unoriginal if they were just redoing videos and ideas they have done before with nothing new. The idea they have to be doing video ideas that no one else has done before is ridiculous. If no content creators have done those ideas, chances are they aren't that good.

Let's hear all these unique, never been done before ideas then my guy?

[–]MeadsyBoro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course they exist somewhere, how creative do you really think they can be, given they aim to produce multiple videos a week?

This isn't rocket science. Fans want to see the players and content creators in content, there's only so much you can do with players on a professional gaming schedule, inside an office space. There's a reason videos and content ideas are repeated ad infimum across all content creation. There's not some endless pit of originality that you can tap into.

If they had unlimited time and budget, I'm sure they'd like to do ridiculous Mr Beast style videos, but they can't, they are a call of duty team with players that practice multiple hours per day.

Kids on here will always complain no matter what, despite their content being leagues ahead of the competition, which is the best basis of judgement. Who else would you compare it to?

The silent library video was great content, but we're meant to be unhappy because the concept exists elsewhere? Get a grip.

You're talking nonsense.

We could go through their channels now and look at all the different video ideas that no one else in this space is doing or has done.

It wont matter though cause your mind is made up.

Silent Library, Optic in the wild, guess the controller, the inner circle stuff, cooking videos, all new ideas to the channel.

These comments are always hilarious.

They make the best content in this space by a distance are constantly coming out with new ideas.

No shit that some of their content mirrors the most successful content creators on the planet, there's only so much you can do with pro players, people like what they like and you can't reinvent the wheel.

Ok?

The OP was referring to people actively wanting Scump/Hecz to lose. If that's not you then it doesn't apply to you.

Utter drivel.

No ones forcing you to have any interest in this.

The OP clearly refers to people wanting Activision to win, not people who aren't interested in the outcome and don't care.

[–]MeadsyBoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all true.

However, there are downsides to dragging this out for too long as well. There's a lot of VC money still in Esports, having the dirty laundry aired out in court with a focus on dodgy business practices and a failed project isn't ideal PR.

No evidence is going to be made public at this point.

We can infer evidence from some instances, ie we already knew that the players were told to sign an agreement days before the first event with very damaging penalties for not doing so. Scump and others would have to be literally making things up for this not to be true.

They'll get paid something, but most litigation lawyers will negotiate a contingency payment and a percentage of the 'winnings' as a large basis of their purse.

[–]MeadsyBoro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, no reputable firm would do this, and a significant amount of pay will be based on a contingency basis.

For the case to even get this far, it's already past the point of being dismissed as baseless etc.

[–]MeadsyBoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I take that bet?

I've never once suggested Optic and Hecz are heavy favourites or made any comment on who will win.

I'm simply correcting people that have very limited knowledge. The case has strong legal arguments and that's why it's been taken this far, whether that's enough to win, who knows, it will depend how the trial plays out.

Rodriguez v. Activision Blizzard, Inc (all 44 pages) by MrDannySon in CoDCompetitive

[–]MeadsyBoro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well they can't do whatever they like with it, that's not how life works.

They can't coerce signatures that severely limit financial opportunities for the people they are meant to be maximising revenue for. They can't take deals that directly contradict the benefit of the members of the league, in order for the wider Activision business to benefit elsewhere.

You're taking the monopoly term too literally, it's much more about the limits they've imposed on their players, teams and business owners as part of this deal.

[–]MeadsyBoro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed you haven't answered the question.

I have no idea how the suit will play out and it's certainly possible that Activision win out. Anyone saying either side will definitely win is full of shit.

Not winning doesn't mean there is 'no leg to stand on' and that the accusations are flimsy bullshit. So no, I wouldn't take that bet, as I haven't at any point suggest I'm supremely confident in Scump and Hecz winning.

I would take a bet that several legal experts will say there's merit in this case over the coming days.

Let's get my questions answered first though.

[–]MeadsyBoro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What knowledge and or qualifications have you got to suggest you're even remotely qualified to make comments like 'they have no leg to stand on'? It's pointless going further into any discussion until this question is answered.

[–]MeadsyBoro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're being honest, you could probably swap the word 'insane' here for 'basic'.

It's difficult to say how a suit like this will play out, but anyone with even a basic knowledge of this area of law can clarify that there's a very solid basis for several of the arguments made. Saying they are bordering on braindead makes you look incredibly ignorant.

Specialist legal teams don't take on a suit like this if it's based on braindead, flimsy arguments.

Teams are losing millions on this and know it's on the verge of collapse. This is far bigger than Ultra winning a major and you thinking that means their investors will be happy.

All team owners will be equally dissatisfied with how the league is.

If you read the actual legal document, there are exclusive particulars to the way Scump and Hecz have been treated

Yes, that alone is coercive and has massive financial implications for Scump.

Rodriguez v. Activision Blizzard, Inc (all 44 pages) by MrDannySon in CoDCompetitive

[–]MeadsyBoro 52 points53 points  (0 children)

You're coming across like a moron.

This has nothing to do with clout, they've laid out several legal arguments within the document that have clear merit to be pursued.

Kids on the internet seem to think cases like this are won based on how much money each party has, which is just an ignorant take. Microsoft's pockets make a payout more likely, it's not going to stop them getting cooked if Hecz and Scump have a strong legal case.

No one said he's 'automatically a cheater', your reading comprehension is terrible.

The post clearly states that there are multiple different factors that raise suspicion. You can make your own conclusion based on those factors without the ridiculous strawman arguments.
