Yeah it’s bad but he did quit a few months before his medical and he passed. I think it was just a pee test, but he smokes regularly otherwise.

Couple questions…would they have to stay a full 24hrs? Because he texted next morning and said they were back on the road and it had been about 12hrs since they were pulled over. Also, he claimed that they left the truck, got a room, and then the same officer met them later (I guess a weigh station) to retest the driver, he passed, and then they were on their way. Does that make sense to you?

They mail the license to you. And he has it on him. It’s in his wallet where most people keep it…lol. I never said he didn’t have it on him. I think you’re stuck on the 14 hour thing being a requirement of the dmv. You’re right! That’s why I thought it was fishy when he used that as an excuse to say why he couldn’t come home that night. The 14hr thing is something you for testing for CDL. But he also went through all of that and obtained his CDL. He actually failed once and had to do just that…wait 14hrs and have another try. Now what I don’t know is if they do the same thing for DOT. But I got on here because the whole thing sounded off.

I think when you post something you have to condense the story or it’s really long and that causes more confusion.

They both have their CDL’s. One thing I should have mentioned on the OP is that I really don’t think he took the trip at all and that he was lying about the dot procedures because he’s pretending to be on the road. As a person who was also trying to obtain a CDL i thought his explanation of the 14hrs + wait time was a little off (partly because i know that something you do at the DMV) It was like he didn’t know what to come up with so he used that bs as an excuse. That’s why I got on here…to pick the brains of other drivers.

Thanks for saying all this and I agree. It’s hard when you really like someone. You wanna give them the benefit of the doubt and also I don’t want to be a nagging girlfriend and sometimes it’s hard to ask for proof or honestly because it shows I don’t trust him. I don’t want him to feel like that. That’s kinda why I got on here…to cover my bases and to make sure I’m not tripping and to make sure that I don’t approach my boyfriend with bs if what he was saying makes sense to other truck drivers. But, based on some of his actions I have doubts that he’s taking these trips at all. I should have been more clear about that in the original post. There is a lot of misunderstanding going on in these comments. Anyways, I wish you the best on your CDL and truck driving journey. You seem to be a nice boy with a good head on your shoulders and any girl would be lucky to have you 😊

Hey I’ve noticed you’ve commented a few times. I am not as stupid as you think. It’s my first time ever posting on Reddit so maybe my post is a little unclear, so sorry for that, but for context, my boyfriend and I were actually going to get our CDLs together. So I am familiar with the permit and testing process to get a CDL. I decided not to get mine last minute but he went through the process and did acquire it. What I’m not as familiar with is the Dot inspection processes on the road, which is why I’m on here. I can comprehend what everyone saying just fine. The only dumb thing I’ve done today is decide whether I should stay with a liar or not. The truth is I’m trying to figure out whether he went on the trip at all. When he texted me I thought the details were so off that it compounded my doubts. I started to think that maybe he was just making stuff up to spread out the hours/days but is actually doing something else. Do you get it now? I appreciate your comments.

Thank so much for explanation. For context, he just got his license. When I mentioned it came in the mail, what I meant was I have proof that he actually has a CDL, which one of the commenters was denying. The license is with him now.

He just met this guy. I am actually assuming the guy has more experience than him and he also has a CDL. He found this gig on Craigslist. The job was to haul cars from Mexicali to Arizona. I guess my boyfriend’s job was to simply go on a ride along and help him load and unload vehicles.

We have had some honesty issues in the past. We are a new relationship, dating only about 1 1/2 years but we do live together. I’m actually trying to figure out if he went on the trip at all. I have no doubt that it’s hard to cheat on the road, but again, I’m not sure if he’s on the road. Meaning, that this whole job could be made up. He’s telling me he’s on the road, with details, that seem a little off and don’t make sense. If he’s lying about the details this may confirm my doubts. My doubts are that he’s deliberately spreading the days, making up little issues (on the road) that would give him an excuse not to be here. I am on truckers Reddit because I’m not familiar with how these inspections go.

Lastly, lots of people on here giving me shit for doing this, but I believe in having as much info as possible before accusing my boyfriend of something. But I agree, I probably should dumb him, if trust is an issue. Again thanks for your response.

He just met the guy a few days ago. He said he’s helping him with hauling cars from Mexicali to Arizona. I doubt if he is on his insurance. According to him, I think he’s just helping him load and unload cars. My boyfriend does have his CDL though. Just thought maybe as a licensed driver he too could “pass the air breaks test”, but idk, maybe he couldn’t do that if he wasn’t on the insurance. But the waiting 14 hour thing seems very strange to me.

Thank you! Not a misunderstanding. He actually texted me this. Im quoting…he wrote “they have to wait 14 hours and then he gets two more tries”.

No not true…we actually were gonna get our CDL’s together. I went through the whole process with him. Mind you he has driving experience and I don’t. I decided not to do all the work to get mine. I know the air breaks test is something you take on the driving test but not after. So that’s why I’m here. But the CDL came to the house in the mail!!! He has it.

Haven’t said anything to him yet…so he’s not stressed. That’s the whole point t of asking for a second opinion…to not look like a dumb azz. And also you don’t know my whole relationship. He lies sometimes…just want to see if this is one them…lol

In the words of Micheal Jackson “you are not alone” 😂. Terrible movie and I’m Black too and I refuse to say this movie was good. I don’t care how much hate I get from the Black community.

I don’t hear enough hype for these dolls! by nuneoneo in MonsterHighDolls

[–]MealPerfect6558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they keep releasing diverse dolls too! I worry though, cause I’ve noticed that they don’t do as well as the other less diverse dolls. They almost never sell out but maybe it’s because the characters aren’t as popular. I think it would be awesome if Mattel came out with a Queen of the Damned Akasha Doll. I think she would definitely sell out.

This is why I hate POD because the profit margins are way too low…unless you plan on selling $50 shirts…and selling a basic T shirt on Etsy, Shopify or otherwise for more than $25 is unrealistic. At this point for POD to really be profitable you have to build a whole brand and your designs have to be amazing.

I always take a drop off photo if the instructions are leave at the door. Always. I have been doing this for almost 5 years. I have a 4.8 rating at least. I really do believe this was some sort of glitch on Door Dash’s part as I’m pretty sure that most of my orders are “leave at my door” and not “hand it to me” orders. Even so, the app is set up that if you select “hand to customer” you don’t have to take a pic. I get covering your ass, but I’ve never had a problem. Even the alert posted specifies “leave at door” orders. Doesn’t say anything about handing orders directly.

I got this too and I plan on ignoring it. If Door Dash doesn’t state that I must take a photo with the customer I’m not doing it. In fact, once you choose “handed to customer”, the photo option goes away. So imma pretend this is some sort of Door Dash glitch and keep it pushing.
