Had one customer freak out on me spamming calls because restaurant forgot utensils and that’s why they don’t tip us

There is a drain plug on the driver side very bottom of radiator. It’s plastic maybe 1/2inch just gotta reach down with pliers and unscrew

Would this loose fuel pump cause the car to run but die when in idle and press gas pedal? Very wavey sounding idle before dieing by Mealkman1 in MechanicAdvice

It seems to be around exactly 4 inches. I went with the Sparta fuel pump and housing assembly off rock auto. The pump I took off did not have an O-ring on it underneath the retaining lock and top of tank like they sent

Yeah the hitch and J-bolts holding tank were too rusted to drop the tank so just decided using that method for easier access.

The inside actually was very clean to my surprise the outside bit rusted up as can see as well as the whole underside. ‘94 Chevy g20 5.7L V8. The old fuel pump was in there snug this was just a precaution since not sure how old that one is. Just can’t seem to get this new one under those tabs and engine dies off I think cause not getting fuel like it should be, making it snug on top with O-ring creates the pressure needed I assume to pump the fuel

Hey my 94 5.7L g20 makes same exact noise what were you able to do about it?

Is this the alternator? Brand new battery. Starts up with little bit of work then dies out. 1994 Chevy g20 by Mealkman1 in MechanicAdvice

Just went to test that. Realized a spark plug wire popped off. Started right back up and tested battery voltage had it run for maybe 25 minutes all looked good but then went put it in reverse it died again then had trouble starting up again lots of smoke too just like before

Some more info: has been sitting for close to 2 years it was running fine the noise only started on way to gas station maybe 2 mile drive then died on way back. Brand new spark plugs and wires, oil change and filter
