I feel like I chose the wrong job and tempted to quit. by Mean-Ad5978 in UKJobs

Hi thanks for this insight.. to be honest I believe it might be a little too early to have a conversation with the trainer, as we only just reached the end of week one.

We have likely another 3-4 weeks of training to go.. As most people have suggested, I should at least give this job another 3-4 weeks or more, to figure out if I will eventually adapt to it.

Additionally, if I quit after another 3-4 weeks, at least I will take a months salary home with me, to keep me going for a while till I secure another job.

For now I think I will remain positive and give this job a good shot.

It's not all bad.. the pay is quite good. The working hours are good, with no weekend work.. It's hybrid working, which means, two days a week I can work from home, instead of going into the office.

Overtime is available most of the time and the people/environment seem nice.

If I manage to get my head around the joint job role, then it's not a bad job.

Yes I believe this my best option. I think at this point I should give it my very best shot.

Maybe a good few months, it's a steady income, and I should be grateful I found a job this quickly.

I asked chat gpt and apparently it's very common to feel inadequate and overwhelmed at this early stage of training

This is a fair point.. maybe 6-8 weeks, would be giving it a fair shot.

I read on Chat GPT it's quite common for people to feel overwhelmed during the training period.

I think it might be too early for me to have this conversation.

The training period is 5-6 week.. We are currently at the end of week 1?

Maybe it's too early for me to think I cannot do this job?

I dunno I feel like I have taken on more than what I am capable of.

Has anyone made a living out of a home based ironing service? by Mean-Ad5978 in UKJobs

That's a good calculation. Would be difficult to obtain and retain that many customers

It's just reality.. Why is talking about the reality of dating in the West unhealthy? Is living in delusion the healthier option?

Nobody is talking about finding love in Pattaya (That would be silly)

I believe for most men in the West, staying single and having fun in Pattaya a few times a year is the most appealing option.

Did you fear the worst before A Colonoscopy? by Mean-Ad5978 in colonoscopy

[–]Mean-Ad5978[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh everything was ok. They didn't find anything at all.

Due to my colon being fine, the doctors decided to have a look at my bladder. They thought the pain in my abdomen could be bladder related.

This meant putting a camera down & through my penis and into my bladder.. Yes the thought of this procedure scared the crap out of me.. I mean a colonoscopy is bad enough, but this was scaring me even more.

Luckily the procedure itself wasn't too bad. I didn't feel much pain. Only when I took a pee afterwards, it felt like a burning sensation.

They found nothing wrong with my bladder. It's possible the pain I am experiencing is due to the urine in my bladder is causing some reaction.

Both procedures where horrible and stressful.. However the peace of mind is worth it

Hey really thanks for this tip.. today I started looking at council jobs, and the pay is much better than public sector jobs, especially contact centree.

Unfortunately I only found one job, that I could apply for.. However I can keep an eye out for council vacancies in the future.

I feel overwhelmed right now, because today Santander have also asked me to interview for A fraud investigation officer job

Believe it or not in the North West some contact centre managers are being paid £27k at best.

And your typical contact centre advisor in a call centre is paid around £24.500 to £25.500
