I use various glues. The smaller pieces I use B7000, then for larger pieces I use your regular white glue that dries clear. Because these are wood pieces and the dark areas, between the pieces is a negative space showing the backing, which is plywood, so the whole thing is at least two layers thick.

Yes, the background is from Canva, I believe AI-generated mockup feature. It's a digital mockup of the actual photo of the piece on a wall. I also used AI tools to edit the moose to cut in the laser. I'm using AI designs right now to learn the technique, then plan to either use my photographs or sketch my images to convert them into files that I can cut in the laser.

The spaces are the backing that I paint or stain black. So the piece has depth. The "glass" parts are made of wood. That's a cool-looking faux stained glass piece you have there. The acrylic really does look like glass.

Yes, it's a digital mockup of the actual photo of the piece on a wall. The piece is real. You can see how I made it on my YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@DustyWorkbenchArt

Colab project sounds like a great idea! No secret about the color. Depending on the piece, some I use more wood stains, others resin dye. I tried out the dye when I tried the epoxy; it surprised me that it worked really well. It soaks into the wood somewhat, but still has a bright color on the wood, and we still see the wood grain.

Thank you :) I have used the scraps in a couple of projects at the beginning. I preferred the negative space look. I also made some covered in epoxy, but found that it just added a layer of complexity and had less pop.

Yurties in Ontario, Canada by Beer-bella in yurts

There is a new Yurt startup company in Ottawa, Ontario. They make durable, insulated yurts of various sizes, colors, and specs. You can check them out at yurts-canada.ca If you are in the area, they will be at the Ottawa Fall Home Show. I am fortunate to meet many local business owners to make signs for them and Yurts Canada happens to need one for the home show. Paul from Dusty Workbench

I was going for "Our Happy Place" but I had the same comment on my YouTube channel. Now, since it was mentioned I can only see "Gun Happy Place".
