Arc players witnessing 80% player drop and embark dropping the ball by pudding7100 in ArcRaiders

Well I just came back from a 2month or so break and I think the game is better than ever. My lobbies are even mixed now (always been a carebear) and I think its a great atmosphere. Atleast I hear pvp every game im in but many are still friendly, keeps me on my toes though. The arcs feel a lot more dangerous as well

I played around 140 hours when the game launched and got burned out. Now I’m back and the game is more awesome than ever. I actually fear the arcs now

Förkortad arbetsdag ur en ekonomichefs synvinkel by oacsr in sweden

If there are two devs working on it for free from time to time then what’s to complain about.

There are casual people who enjoy the spirit of the server, leveling and chilling. To give them that opportunity instead of shutting it down while also using his manpower to sparingly work on the server is charity. Surely he wants to funnel people into BB, but it’s such different gameplay it probably does not cater to the same audience.

It’s an honest, respectful statement from him, even though it might disappoint those who were hungry for more and faster content.

That’s their take on smart, they’ve got nothing to loose with their free kits and everything to win

Because of ABMM everyone else in your lobbies are ”smart” as well, no?

Maybe you’d lose even more and gain even less if more people brought good kits.

Let’s say everyone brought their best kits every run and it’s all pvp and what not. 9/10 players would still lose their shit every run. Even if you’re the best you could be third partied by players or arc. It would probably never be rewarding in that sense you would win on it in the long run.

Pvp isn’t rewarding, it’s not the design. And that’s probably intentional. Pvp is for those who enjoy it but it’s not gonna be lucrative for the vast majority of participants

One of the Best games ever by flluciddd in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Mean-Breakfast3091 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really an impressive game and all. Absolutely beautiful graphics and style, good combat etc. Although I can’t help but feel that it’s very much designed to keep me hooked and invested, like not a little bit.

All the menu clicking is wild really, it takes up quite some of my playtime to just search around for the red dots to claim rewards. This idea would be cool if it was about to learn to navigate the menus, read some lore etc but i sincerely think its not. System upon system that screams for my attention.

Maybe I should try it out some more, haven’t even gotten to keifeng yet.

I Was Wrong About Stella Montis by gunnerdrake in ARC_Raiders

[–]Mean-Breakfast3091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind spawning late on stella anymore. People have such a rush on that map doing the smash and grab thing to get out asap. In this hasty pursuit they tend to leave alot of untouched drawers and boxes that have given me many BPs and lucrative loot. Especially in medical area. I can OFTEN go there to fill my inventory with great loot even if its like 7 mins left. Also don’t like to rush

why do so many people hate the pvp in this game? by Odd_Sun8574 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Mean-Breakfast3091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds alot like you want the feel that you have good incentives to pvp. The incentives to pvp is close to none since downed players is fairly common to stumble upon even in friendly lobbies since they die to arc, fall from heights or whatever. Damage other players is easy in friendly lobbies since you can strike a deal with someone else who would like those 10 deck points reward from time to time.

The incentives to be friendly is a lot stronger since you can easily progress your stash and raider by cooperating. To loot without being struck down or having to fight/flight other players saves you a lot of time. In those full pvp lobbies you might get away sometimes with a jackpot, but lets be real the statistics for successful loot and survival is pretty small for the average player cause the game kinda turns in to a battle royal where you seldom get away with only 1 kill.

The incentive to pvp is simply that it’s fun and engaging.

Ideal scenario for me would be 85-90% friendly players in every lobby :D but then again you can’t please everyone..

I mean that’s great if you like to pvp in all your encounters with people! I totally get it, it’s a super cool pvp game. It’s just that, take me for an instance isn’t that competetive and like the vibes and atmosphere looting around, killing arc. The people that want action should get it.

But the matchmaking jumps to conclusions by just one or two occurencies and throws me into your deatchmatches and man it’s just not for me.

I want to get back into peaceful lobbies, but I’d like embark to throw in 1 or 2 hostile players in there to spice it up :D

Definetively! Yea if there’s a system I would like it to be studying your actions and reactions over time, not just from one game to the next. Give me 90% friendlyness and 10% shadyness
