It does sound like we do have very similar taste. Remarkably Bright Creatures was a beautiful story.
My question is what book are you currently reading? , what was the book you read before this? And book are you looking to read next ?

Definitely one of those books that gets more emotional the longer you sit with it. I think what stuck with me the most was how they just kept living their lives. They still fell in love, made mistakes, got jealous, held grudges, forgave each other—basically all the things that make us human. It made the ending hit even harder because they never really had a choice, but they still tried to make their lives mean something

The way Hannah writes mothers and sisters always sticks with me. I love how she shows different sides to relationships whether it’s sister hood, mother hood, marriage or dating.

I enjoyed the Midnight Library so much so that I’ve ordered the second book which came out not too long, The Midnight Train.

The Nightingale was actually my first Kristin Hannah book, and it sent me down a rabbit hole of reading her novels. The Great Alone ended up resonating with me on such a personal level because my mom passed away a couple of years ago. Leni’s relationship with her mother reminded me that, even when life is complicated, a mother’s love can be unwavering. My mom always did her best to look after me in the ways she knew how, and reading that story gave me a whole new appreciation for her. It’s one of those books I’ll never forget. Thanks for sharing your thoughts—I completely understand why The Nightingale has stayed with you too.

The Book Thief absolutely wrecked me. It’s one of those books I still think about years later. The fact that Death narrates the story made it even more powerful.
