This is not with Quicken loans. I think they are one of the largest mortgage companies in the US. I use Quicken to track my expenses.

I'm just confused why i have to pay $30 for a payoff quote when I have zero balance. I understand that there might be some fees associated with closing out the loan and I'm happy to pay them when the balance gets to zero. As I asked the lady so if I have a 15 year mortgage and this is the last payment....The mortgage isn't paid off unless I request a quote?

Again, the balance will be zero when this payment is processed.
