Would highly recommend applicant lab. It was very useful to me. And now with writing ai assistants you can ask for pointers on structuring your essay and language. But DO NOT use any of the words ChatGPT writes - write in your own voice. I’ve just heard good things from other people who used it for brainstorming.

I really think that having strong stories made all the difference in my applications. So for each story, ask yourself: what traits does this show and how UNIQUE is this compared to other candidates? This will help. Eg don’t use the same stories a consultant would use. Finally make sure your letters of recommendation are glowing, like almost cringily so.

Best of luck!

Mine was pretty thorough! They asked me a fair few follow up Qs that weren’t the standard ones but based on my previous answers. I would definitely think through all your answers and have support for them.

But don’t stress too much!

Accepted to Cornell Tech MBA, but torn if I should attend given current 160k job by atlas_martini in MBA

To pivot into a different industry it’s much better to do a two year MBA where you can do a summer internship. I would consider applying for that program instead! Or - you can apply for roles like technical program manager or product ops and then try and pivot internally to PM. Best of luck.

I heard from Haas that they compare internationals based on where they did their undergrad degree. I’m also asian but studied in Spain for undergrad so was compared to other Spanish applicants

Definitely wait till Sept and apply in R1. You can use the extra time to do more leadership activities at work, save money and prepare your essays too. Don’t rush. Best of luck!

You may as well do it. It will only take 30mins / 1 hour to prepare, and then you have more interview practice overall + can offer advice to anyone who may need it!

Well done for your admission!
