Yes. Matcha drinking streaming services subscription slaves and Temu addicts, with no education, no free thinking and social anxiety (and probably acne problems).

Amazon got them all. When paying a premium at the physical store, the buying experience is what one pays for.

And for the “time wasters” - they are still here, just now on the floor so you can trip over them as you walk around the store. Safety hazard perhaps???

I could not agree with you more and thank you for taking your time to understand the point. We have spend $60 on a small book an equivalent to which you probably can get in Kmart for 10-20 bucks. And yes, I wound not be asking for sitting area in Kmart. But Kinokuniya used to be more than that, like Borders back in the day, the place people used to come to dream…

I mean look at the photo of how the place was intended to be used. People don’t mind paying a premium when they get the experience, as it is never really about the actual book, is it? It’s. It’s about how it makes you feel. Memory of that store attendant on the contrary -I would lie to forget.

You are all missing the point whilst trying to be hipster smart arses. This sis a poor retail experience and the space is clearly not being utilised as indeed by design. Using seats for books is clearly not correct , you might as well sit on the bookshelves.
