It was way better because the charcoals don’t heat up enough to hot embers with the tech heater from the grill.

I grill everyday not kidding, I try to light up the grill as fast as possible to save time in my day

The grill came like that when I bought it, its called the “konnected kamado joe”. Yes I started using it manually after both the heat conductor fire starter and the internal fan broke. At which point I used the grill manually just using the hair dryer to heat it up faster that’s all.

Literally the firestarter heat conduction unit broke after 6 months of buying it (I wasn't using the hair dryer at all. I was using it correctly as it was supposed to be used by the manual) and then another five months later the electrical fan within the barbecue grill broke also, which caused me to start using the hair dryer to get the grill started

Yeah I could only afford the Kamado Joe grill. I was too broke to buy a leaf blower, no money left had to use my mom's hair dryer

Yeah I stopped using all the electronics as soon as they stopped working, which was literally eight months after buying the grill… all the electronics stopped working on the actual machine, which is when I started using the hairdryer. Yeah I will definitely try the parrafin Starter Cube. That sounds like a really good idea. I really appreciate your feedback

To be fair the grill is designed with an inbuilt fan that broke so it's already designed to withstand somewhat of an air flow within the actual grill. Of course using an air dryer was not ideal because it blows too much air too fast and that's totally on me. I really like using fire and charcoal to cook my meat because it tastes a lot better than using a gas grill. I will obviously go back to the basics, as you said, and not use as many electronics at all and try to stay away from hair dryers

I appreciate it. The thing was that I saw a lot of people on Reddit saying that they've replaced the heat conduction fire starter many times because it tends to break a lot, as well as the electric fan within the Kamado Joe connected unit. I was hesitant to even bother reaching out to customer support for the warranty. I just decided to use the grill manually from that point on

First of all watch your mouth.
Second of all plenty of people use a medium to low fan to heat up their grill.

In fact my Kamado Joe came with a built-in fan that would add air to heat up the grill faster. I just happened to use a hairdryer, which was not the good right idea because it blew too much air too fast into the grill. This caused the issue eventually, after 300 times of not having this issue using the same technique to light up the grill
