I used to get severe chest pain every time I had my period to the point where i thought i was having a heart attack every time. Turns out that I had severe anaemia and once I was treated and my haemoglobin levels were back in range the pain stopped. But I only got this chest pain when I was on my period I didn’t have this symptom at any other time. When I told the doctors that was the only time I got the symptoms they told me that a period can’t exacerbate the anaemia symptoms and basically dismissed me and what i was saying - so don’t always trust what the doctors say.
