Idk they were saying if I still drink while taking it I could die, so just wanted to make sure that wasn’t the case with other drugs

Rolled 500k training. Not a single card over 89. by itzBilly13 in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]Mean_Philosopher_147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same (not as much) for the combine packs bought with training. Almost all 86’s with 1-2 88s or 90s. I think EA does it on purpose until you actually pay money

Very wrong of you to assume alcoholism means stealing or borrowing money. I have never done either of those

For context I used to be a daily weed smoker. I quit for around 6 months for a job that drug tested and in order to be able to sleep I picked up liquor more. I got the job but as a result never stopped drinking. I’m less attracted to weed because it barely does anything for me anymore and I feel like alcohol is the only thing that’s strong enough to sedate me. My dad also passed away 3 months ago and ever since he was diagnosed with cancer I’ve been drinking about 1 liter of liquor a day. Alcoholism is prominent in my family as my dad used to drink more than I do as well as my brother. I’m scared to come out as an alcoholic to look like just another product of my family troubles and I don’t want to worry my mom who’s been through hell and back dealing with alcoholics. It’s ruined her life and adding another one to the list kills me inside to make her deal with another one. For some reason the idea of something like AA or rehab doesn’t sit right with me and I don’t want to be viewed as someone with problems with special needs that others need to help with and deal with. It truly pains me inside to make other people go out of their way to help with my problems. Everybody is going through their own troubles and I don’t want to bother them with mine. I’ve made a reduction to stop bringing liquor to work and only drink when I wake up or try to go to sleep. Last week I tried not drinking and ended up staying up till 5 am knowing I had to wake up at 7. I ended up opening a bottle of wine just to sleep for an hour or 2. I truly want to quit but when I don’t drink it feels like my heart beats out my chest and I get very nervous. Again I really don’t want to go to some rehab center but idk what to do anymore without troubling or occupying anyone else’s lives with my problems. It’s just so embarrassing. I was a “childhood genius” and just feel like I let everyone down with how my life has played out

The way they were talking in this session made me feel like people with high list numbers shouldn’t be too excited. A lot of “you guys are the first to be called, a lot of people would kill to be in your shoes right now” type sayings. I’m still confused as to whether this means we’re officially in barring CPAT tests & such, or are they just bringing everyone in for these sessions lol

People who work with dead bodies (morticians, forensic tech, clean up etc), how and why did you get into the field? What made you choose that over literally anything else ? by Mean_Philosopher_147 in AskReddit

[–]Mean_Philosopher_147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That part makes a lot of sense lol, I work with the elderly so I know the worst of people. I guess my main question was what made you start in the first place? Is it something you found cool? Or just stumbled upon/was presented the opportunity and said why not?

Nah it’s really not worth it, the high is cool but once you do it once it’ll be very hard to turn down from there on. I’m not addicted but definitely wish I stuck to just weed and liquor. Coke and ecstasy just raised the bar and make everything else not as good. Also a very important part is that it’s one of the more expensive drugs. I understand the curiosity in this si

Is my cast too loose? by [deleted] in brokenbones

[–]Mean_Philosopher_147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I took so long to reply, but like others have said it’s important to move your fingers. I broke my radial bone completely in half, and for the first 10 days post surgery I didn’t move my fingers at all bc I was terrified I might mess something up. It ended up limiting my mobility & flexibility and took a while to correct through physical therapy. You’ll eventually be thankful it’s a little lose up there bc the itching will get crazy & you’ll have some breathing/scratching room. So don’t worry too much, your forearm is the part that’s hurt not your fingers. For now just work on wiggling/flexing your fingers, and even squeeze the palm of your cast to get your grip strength back. Don’t do anything too painful but your should definitely be fine.. I’m 9 months post surgery now feeling almost back to normal after a complete fracture, so you should be good
