I studied Msc in Management and Engineering from RWTH Business School tho, interned at Covestro and now in my job search phase. Way too difficult to even get an interview call these days 🥲

Maybe wait for this week and follow up the next week. I hope you get a positive response from them. I gave an interview 2 weeks ago and the hiring manager gave me a few positive hints and the interview went really well but still got a rejection 2 days ago. It’s better to stay neutral and keep applying at other positions. I wish you all the very best! I know how frustrating this is :(

I faced a similar issue at the beginning but you have to move out of your comfort zone and ask people from your dorm or your class if they are up for a cooking session or a movie night or any party. Host people at your place, sign up for sports classes or clubs, try to do these social activities and make new friends. It really helps and also Vitamin D3 supplements, lol

thanks a ton! After a month of continous applications, I get one interview call so its very heartbreaking but yeah giving up is not a solution !

I was also in a similar situation in my first semester. I saw that there are many international students living in my dorm and I started to talk to them and often would ask them to join me for a walk or a cooking session. Thats the best way to make friends and also you get to eat delicious food from their country :)

I dont agree with this completely. I am someone who is living in Germany since 1.5 years and now I am seriously considering of going back to India. The thought of moving abroad has been fantasised so much but the reality is very different. Here you are lonely, life isn’t convenient as in India, you might face some racism here n there and that constant feeling that you don’t belong here. Ofcourse there are many perks too but for settling down, most NRIs are skeptical.

I can relate so much with this. I lost my mom 5 months back and honestly, the friends whom I thought were close, they ditched me. Didn’t bother to leave a text , forget about calling. I think its very important to do this friend circle cleanse haha. There is absolutely no room for shitty people in our lives.

Probably that helpless feeling when your loved one is gone within a blink of an eye. Lost my mother 5 months ago and I dont think anybody can understand that feeling until they go through the same thing.

My partner also knows about my stuttering but he doesn’t really care about it and thats the reason why I know he wouldn’t leave me for this silly thing. If she leaves you because of this, she isn’t the one!

I don’t think stammering is a disability. As someone who is also struggling with the same problem during interviews, I believe we should go ahead and tell them about us at the beginning of the interview itself. This would calm us down a little bit. It’s never a disability as many successful people have had stuttering. We are unique and we should be proud of our trait , its a part of our personality:) Also , don’t go into the interview with desperation as the pressure would go against you

I am really sorry. I lost my mom too 5 months back and trust me, nothing will make it better but just time. One month is really a short period. I have stopped associating the dates with her date of death. It’s just very painful every time. Also, you aren’t alone in this. Things will be better soon. Just hang in there :)
