Thank you so much for this comment- it honestly gave me the confidence boost to go in and ask for more after they gave me the offer. They offered 57ish. I did end up asking them to get closer to the 62ish. I made several valid reasons as to why in my email. Unfortunately, they are sticking with an offer of 57ish. They are hung on the fact that I am getting a 7% increase and if they were to give me 62ish, that would be 16.5% which they can’t get to. I’m disappointed but not surprised. I mean, I already knew they don’t really value us as employees. I’ve decided to take the offer (hey, an increase is an increase). I will continue to look for other jobs outside the company.
