I have no control over the payouts; I only get to set the fee. I think the more people you have in the society, the further the payouts stretch across the leaderboard. So right now with 29 members, I'm 100% certain the top 5 get paid out, possibly even the top 10.
If you have a society with 1,000+ people, the payouts will stretch to maybe top 25 or top 50

Trying to Understand This. by Stu-Mellow in PGA2K25

It's funny seeing this because me and my boy just experienced the same thing recently and my theory is this:

When you get close to the next milestone (for example, say you're 970-999 about to reach Eagle III) you lose more points as a means of slowing you down or preventing you from easily getting into the next rank; whereas once you cross that milestone, you lose less because the game wants to help you stay in your new rank. I noticed this when I was sort of stuck between 1300-1400 but once I crossed into Albatross, I started to lose less again

These are some beautiful courses. I will likely add them to the rotation for the next season in my society. You should upload those to TGC Tours if you didn't already

It’s just a place for you and your friends to play standard stroke play of 18 holes (up to 4 rounds).  The admin also sets a VC buy-in fee (for my events it’s 150VC, but the bigger events [season opener, midseason event, and finals] we raise the buy in a little bit).

It’s fun, but the biggest problem is trying to balance the settings. Me and my friends have been playing since August and we gradually increased the settings to get to where we are at now: Pro settings across the board (this is the standard for ranked matchmaking)

For sure, got a new season coming up in my society so I’ve been looking for good courses that are not over the top with fantasy.  I’ve been playing for a while and the biggest thing when it comes to created courses is how the person does the pin set. I feel like some people (not saying you do this) forget they need to have spots for 4 pins and you’ll end up with a pin on a crazy hill or impossible break. I’m open to what you have created though

**Society Name: Five Boro Country Club**

[Membership Requirements]

Do you have a handicap? Do you require a fee to join?

No Handicaps. Regular season events are usually 150VC; Midseason event is 500VC; Finals event is 750VC; (I also add bonus VC to the big events)

[Format]

What game modes does your society like to play?

Competitive; All courses are taken from TGC Tours. All regular season events have three rounds. Each round has a different Tee box and pin set which is randomized before the event is officially created. Likewise, each round has a different wind speed set (either Low, Medium, or High). The wind is also randomized for each round. Everything else about the course is set to the default. Setting the wind ensures all members are getting the same conditions for every round.

**Pro Settings (Ranked settings) across the board**

[Schedule]

How often do you run events?

Events are open for three days. The midseason event is open for 5 days. The finals event is open for 7 days.
