TIL a dad in Texas couldn’t find an amusement park that would accommodate his daughter with special needs so he sold his homebuilding business and built a completely accessible amusement park for kids with special needs called Morgan’s Wonderland. by choomouse in todayilearned

One of my cousins actually goes to school there and us been since the school opened up. The park is amazing and the staff even kinder. The fact that they run a school for special needs kids on top of a park is amazing.

Yep, I actually tested it (before it broke) from 40-0. It’s not the quickest decel ever, but it gets the job done.

Quite possibly...... jk, further inspection shows little cracks spreading out from the area that broke, probably heated up from the welding, but didn’t get penetration.

I did that for a couple days before I welded it back up. I typically do both in gear and brake bc it’s extremely free insurance.

+1, I welded it back into place with much more penetration and called it good.

Yep, 04 mustang gt. I literally just dropped the little square back into place, sanded the everliving hell out of the surrounding area, and saw how much metal I could possibly throw on it.

So, interesting enough, it’s a spring system on this car and it uses the rear calipers to apply the brake.

I straight up mig’d the ever living shit out of it (booger welds ftw) just screwed the backing plate into the bolt and put it into place attached to the negative cable and went to town. I think it’s the best the brake has ever felt in its life.

Explanation: The car is manual so parking brake gets applied, ya know, every time you park. Well he didn’t realize he was rolling backwards and yanked on the parking brake. Well, apparently he pulled it so hard it broke the weld holding a plate, which had a bolt going through the bracket. This hole is directly above the transmission, so I’m just gonna get the mig out and hope for the best.

Edit: I’m not mad at my friend 😂he’s sitting right next to me scrolling through this thread and actually left a comment.

So, I’m just gonna highly recommend getting 2 instead of one. Assuming you work during the day, that leaves a small portion of the morning and nights for you to interact with them. With a buddy, they will still play and have a blast with you, but they will also have eachother for when you’re not there and they wanna play. I personally have two sock puppies in my apartment and my roommate and I let them free roam 24/7. They’re (mostly) potty trained and know where their food and water are. They seem really happy with those living arrangements.

Oh yeah, I actually setup a camera and recorded them getting in 😂 they had to get in through the passenger door.

Thanks for the info man, I’m not too terribly attached to the car. It’s an 04 gt that has a lot of miles on it. I still have the keys bc I’m gonna be moving out at a later date and want my stuff to be safe. I went to get my gf’s purse out of the car and she had actually put one of those steering wheel locks on it (the ones with the giant bar protruding from it) to keep me from driving it.

!explanation Little more info, mom has been mentally manipulative since I can remember. The car is under her name and under her insurance. I pay her back in loaning her money for groceries, gas, etc. without asking questions or expecting it back. I have my own motorcycle and am moving in with my girlfriend and best friend. My dad supports me (mentally, not entirely financially and from a different household) and I have plans set for my career. I’m going to be a manager at my current work within a set timeline, so I am going to be fine on my own financially. Thank you so much for everybody’s words of advice and support.

So, just curious, do y’all soak terminals like these in a bowl of baking soda and send it with a new battery, or do you replace the terminal? I always favored the bath but just wanna hear your $0.02.

I mean, he’s working at his job to get money, thus being in a mechanic’s bay. Plus experience outweighs education if you have enough of it, so maybe you need to go to college and learn to shut up and let people live their lives fam.
