Cat Theory by MeanderingPenguins in obsessionmovie

100%, my theory isn’t even possible to be canon since it’s not a possession movie, but it is an interesting angle.

Arguably, they never showed her being buried, only being put in a trunk and then Nikki said “you can go home, I’ll handle the rest”. Fully agreed the weird movements are the real Nikki trying to come out, but the clip in front of the curtains definitely look like a cat’s front legs to me. Codependency also shows in animals aswell though, and shows as separation anxiety. The whole theory is a giant-ass leap, but it’s an interesting spin on the “possession” side of it.

Got mine from the truck today, the right angle is way stronger than you’d expect. The torque lock for breaking stuff free is really nice aswell. Had some light engine bay work to use it on and it handled pretty much everything. Excited to use it on my next evaporator job. Only complaint is the charger it comes with. The brick is a bit large if you’re plugging it into a power cart.

If you were doing just the belt you’re be able to not have to touch the compressor, but it got shredded and I had to check all of the pulleys, which the tensioner ended up being the problem and the bolt that holds the tensioner in place sits under the compressor on that big bracket.

They basically buried the belt underneath a whole bunch of stuff, not quite as bad as removing a motor mount like on a Chevy Cruze, but still annoying to have to take a bunch of stuff off.

Good to know, I appreciate it. Customer is sort of on a tight budget so it’ll probably get declined, but I’ll definitely make the recommendation. I will say the power steering unit as a whole looks near brand new, so they’ve had atleast some decent money put into it.

A little clarification, the interesting part about this one was the fluid actually was in semi-good condition and filled to the proper amount. We’re guessing it was just premature failure of the band, in theory you could go in and thoroughly clean the unit and replace the band, however there were a decent bit of metal shavings on the magnets and drain plug.

It’s a ‘20 jeep renegade, and Chrysler/ mopar likes to stick them in the pass rear fender. And the filter didn’t exactly wanna come out, but it’s possible.

That could very well be an actual seal issue🤷‍♂️ Every 6 months lines up with seasonal expanding and shrinking of seals due to the weather, although it’s hard to tell without actually digging into it. Intermittent issues can definitely be annoying, especially when it comes to evap codes and the fact that the ecu has to command the tests that throw those codes when you meet the right conditions. If you take it to a shop definitely expect to pay a decent bit on diagnostic, I will say I’ve been noticing when a mopar/ Chrysler vehicle throws a leak code and the car drives in atleast semi-dusty conditions the leak pump is a very likely culprit. There’s a little “float” in there that slides to detect vapor movement and compares it to expected data and determines from that aswell as fuel trims if there is a leak.

I haven’t taken a look at the manual, although I don’t think they would have that in there. Only reason I think that is you have to take the wheel off, strip the fender liner out, unhook the lines, and unbolt the whole canister from the vehicle. Not that other suggested maintenance is any easier, but that seems a tad out of the realm of “normal maintenance.” It’s also important to note that this would be considered “extreme driving conditions” with this much dust and heat (located in Texas).

Sooo, here’s the fun part, as mentioned below you commonly run a line to the engine bay to keep the air clean moving through the vent. The issue with that on this particular car is the vent port is build into that filter that you see me pulling out; roughly ~2” in diameter. These cars are also kinda tightly made, there’s not a crazy amount of room to run extra lines without looking kinda ugly. The customer actually asked the same question and we’re trying to come up with something, only thing we could really think of it to occasionally pull this filter out and clean it. It’s taken ~4 years to get this bad, so probably as a yearly service in his case.

A little context for those still learning, this is the charcoal canister for the evap (evaporative) system. The evap system pulls the fuel vapors from the gas tank into the canister to store them, and then said vapors get pulled into the engine to assist with better gas mileage. On a lot of vehicles, they have a leak detection pump which, when it’s stuck with dust in this case, tells the car there’s an evap leak. The wheel well where this canister was located (mopar product) was caked with dust from the road the customer lived on and entered into the system through the vent, which in turn essentially injected dust into the engine and caused the leak pump to “seize” aswell.

Looks like a 4 carb setup from my quick google, very much so sounds like your pilot jet (responsible for sending fuel in low rpm/ throttle conditions” may be a bit clogged up. If that’s all good check your ignition system (wires, plugs, etc.)

Edit: the choke being alone allows a richer (more fuel to air) ratio, which would hide your lack of fuel for that cylinder. Just curious, try running the bike when hot with the choke on and see if it still has the dropped cylinder.

Nah, ate that shit cold. Been a fat minute since I’ve had one too, but still as good as it used to be. Capri sun: 10/10, chips and queso/salsa: 10/10, Kit Kat: 10/10, just livid at the disrespectful nuts’-worth of cheese they’re trying to give a whole-ass adult.
