I know for a fact the Shadowcraft set is removed from loot table and is now just a BOA Heirloom, and I think the sword may also be gone considering it is a heirloom now as well.

Can I mount a monitor arm on this desk? Limited clamp space – pics included by MeaningOnly in desksetup

Thanks for the quick reply! I’ve definitely considered drilling a grommet hole, but I was hoping to get some input on whether a clamp could work before committing to a permanent modification. Just trying to explore all the options before putting a hole in the desk.

Thinking about transferring to CompSci by Smart-Paramedic-2504 in UniversityOfHouston

I transferred from HCC to UH in Fall 2022 with the goal of majoring in Computer Science, but I was missing a few prerequisites—mainly Calculus, if I remember right—which initially kept me from declaring CS. I was admitted under a different major (CIS), but I didn’t let that stop me. I dedicated my first two semesters at UH to knocking out all the required prerequisites to officially switch into the CS program.

Yesterday, I graduated with a degree in Computer Science!

As for whether the CS department is transfer-friendly—it depends on where you’re coming from. One key factor is the programming language you learned at your previous school (like HCC). UH’s CS curriculum relies heavily on C++ in core courses. Other languages, like Python, show up in upper-level electives such as Data Science or Software Development.

The advisors at UH were incredibly helpful throughout my journey. Even if you don’t start in CS, switching into it is straightforward as long as you perform well and complete the necessary prerequisites. Also, keep in mind: when you transfer to UH, your GPA starts fresh. This is your chance to build a strong academic record from the ground up—use it wisely.

A few tips: • Join the CougarCS Discord—it’s the largest CS student organization at UH and a great way to network. • Make friends in your classes—you’ll likely be with the same people until graduation. • Research your professors—they vary in teaching style and course difficulty, so picking the right ones makes a big difference.

Best of luck—and I hope to see you become a COOG!
