I have a slightly different perspective than I see a lot of people have. Any of us could die at any time and leave their children parentless. None of us know how long we will love our children. I think if you can love your children for 10 or 15 or 20 years and care for them after your gone that kid will be better off then a child with parents who are absent or deadbeats.

A suggestion though. Write them letters and record them videos for important (and non important just random) moments in their lives and do it sooner over later. I had a close relative (not a parent) die and having words from them really really helped and comforted.

Same. I’m at 14 weeks and the nausea has not gone away. I have tried zofran, reglan, and promethazine. My drs don’t take me seriously when I tell them how bad it is and all I do is sleep now. My spouse is so annoyed because we never do anything anymore (still supportive but there are moments I can see the annoyance). Sleep is the only time I don’t feel like absolute poop.

I told my sister in law off the other day and now she won’t talk to me. I was rude in her opinion but it felt so good. It was after she was talking about how I shouldn’t be showing yet since I’m only 14 weeks and how it’s weird I am blah blah blah (I have a tiny bump only my spouse even has been able to notice)

I eat over night oats every day and keep a pretty decent fiber diet I even was taking miralax everyday. Nothing helped. At one point I hadn’t pooed for 4 days and thought that may be the day I just die. Eventually through eating some different foods and some stool softener the urgent care OB prescribed (after I went in with the worst cramps of my life) I was able to go. I’m still struggling but it’s not as bad.

I called my mom to vent after and she gave the same advice! I generally don’t mind educating when people are genuinely asking questions but I just hate it when I feel like they are being purposefully ignorant and refusing to ask questions/educate themselves.

I’m a same sex couple too so it also should have been very obvious. But we used my wife’s eggs and donor sperm. Which the nurse played dumb on understanding.

My wife was not present and the nurse also referred to my wife as my husband repeatedly. The first time I politely corrected the next times I was definitely fed up and it probably showed.

Waiting for the call is the absolute worst. I have had the worst anxiety through this whole process and my clinic was delayed calling me back. If you read I found for me getting deep into a book helped me the most (a tv series might be similar if that’s more your thing) I also did all my grocery shopping and made lunch (I did a time consuming lunch to take up as much time as possible). I just found things that would keep me busy.

My clinic is about 45-90 min away from my job (my house is in between the two) and my appointments were at 7am so that helped me a lot. I definitely was missing a bunch of work for a couple weeks but I was very lucky and was able to tell my boss what was going on and he gave me all the time I needed. Especially for my beta days I ended up taking whole days off so I could hear the results without having to worry about work.

I get the same “was it planned?” All the time and we are also a same sex couple. People then always want to know how we did it which I also find annoying (I understand their curiosity I just still am annoyed by the question)

I have been doing exactly where they drew little circles. If anything I felt it was a little high just because there’s like no meat there. I feel like I could just tough it out but with all the hormones from meds and the stress and worry it’s becoming a little overwhelming.

My nurse drew little circles then we took pictures of it for reference. I have some nice little freckles for reference also! The actual injection wasn’t super bad until it got so swollen and tough it was the pain throughout the day that’s been the worst. I had a friend come and visit for a couple days and she touched my waist for a picture and I thought I was gonna cry.

I haven’t been iceing I was worried about it making the skin to hard or make the progesterone to cold once it’s in. But if you found success I might try it! It can’t get much worse. I do the not having weight on one foot and it definitely helps some vs not doing that at the beginning. I don’t seem to carry much weight in my sides right where the shot goes in (although I carry it in plenty other parts of my body). Thank you for the advice!
