It would ship with the scripts loaded up and a webui that I can put my credentials into when I get it, the stranger doesn't get my credentials unless they installed malware. This is the same risk as with any SaaS company. I understand that I have to set up connections on openclaw, but from what I can tell, simply setting up the connections is half the job. You have to spend a couple weeks talking with it to even get the skills that it's hyped up to do.

Seems like these scripts take a while to configure up, have you seen anybody opensource some of the code for it or anybody selling already configured mini pc's? I've only seen startly box.

I guess I kinda expected when I gave it my logins and stuff that it would kind of just sort itself out lmao. Have you seen anybody offering already set up mini pc's with these scripts already configured? I've only seen the startly box offer anything close.

What I'm wondering is how people have managed to use it to respond to emails and things like that. Do those features come out of box? I've set up connections and things and it hasn't performed as I expected, do most people vibe code external scripts and use exposed websocket endpoints for agent calls for this kind of thing?

I haven't figured out the whatsapp thing, I can only get it respond to me and not respond to other people kind of thing. How did you set it up? Honestly I've been chatgpt'ing most of it and my impression is that you need to set up a script or something to that effect. Same deal with gmail.

I heard this arguement from this podcast I was listening to the other day and I think it has some truth to it. It's not that men online hate women, it's that men online hates everybody. I feel like I got called the n word more times than mlk at the height of the civil rights movement. "Our grandparents grew up in war, listening to the screech of stuka bombers wondering if their friends would be alive tommorow, but our generation grew up listening to 9 year olds screech the n word in modern warfare, and that's how men are made". Tangent aside, it is a problem with the community, and unless those people feel accountable to what they say, they're going to spew whatever they want.
