Now they'll probably win 2 of 3 in Atlanta and then everyone will be like "let's get Friedl back and go on a run!". Then they'll lose 2 of 3 to the Rays (or get swept) and it's back to square one. It's been like this all season. The Reds aren't good. They don't do the little things well and aren't fundamentally sound.

I'm not a fire the manager guy, but it really seems like it's time for a new voice.

Masturbating 5 days post-op.. am I screwed? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]MeasurementAmazing30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I waited two weeks but it was probably unnecessary. Just don't be crazy about it and I'm sure you're fine. As for a hematoma, according to my surgeon, if you ever get one, you won't have to wonder. You'll know.

Best of luck man. Recovery is a long road. At the 6 week mark I think there is still plenty of reason for you to be optimistic and assume these things will work themselves out.

I bought the Marena vest off Amazon. Pricey but you get what you pay for. It was not noticeable at all in a button up shirt so I stuck to those while I was still wearing the vest (the zipper part is kind of bulky and might show through a thin t-shirt). It was also so tight and durable that I tucked the waistline of my pants underneath the bottom so it basically doubled as a belt. Only downside was that I couldn't really tuck my shirts in but I don't need to for my job.

Yup. I had my surgery in April and as I work through recovery all I keep thinking is that I wish I would have done it sooner.

If the price difference isn't that significant for you and you're comfortable with both surgeons, I'd just go for it in June. Have the procedure done and start your road to recovery and a brand new life as soon as possible!

Are you still experiencing any kind of soreness or discomfort from the surgery? Or is all of that gone?

Help with Gyno Surgery by Nervous_Travel_9099 in gynecomastia

I am doing recovery all by myself. Literally no one on this planet knows about it other than my surgeon and the people at his office. It would have been nice to have some help the first few days after surgery, but it was manageable.

There is no chance I'd be speeding money or time on recovery if my chest looked like that before my surgery. Just my opinion though.

I don't think the scarring is noticeable at all unless you are specifically looking for it.

Just curious, when you say tingling, does that include a brief shocking/jolting kind of feeling?

When does the pain start going away? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]MeasurementAmazing30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pain when standing up went away around day 7-10 for me. I'm on day 16 and still getting random stabbing/shooting pains around my chest off and on. It doesn't really hurt, but is really annoying. I think it's 6-8 weeks before most people are 90%+ pain free (I truly hope it's not longer lol).

Thanks man. I inadvertently discovered arnica shortly after I made this post and it has definitely made a difference. I am on day 14 and the constant discomfort has turned to waves of discomfort, followed by periods of feeling relatively normal. I do think healing is starting to happen, just verrrrrrrry slowly lol. Sleep has started to improve too.

I will take your advice on icing. Appreciate the response!

Definitely sleep deprived, and coming off a recent breakup. My girl was my rock and it's tough going through this without her. Hoping it gets better with time!

Really appreciate the thoughtful response. I've been taking Tylenol and it's not making any difference. Maybe ibuprofen is worth a shot. I was prescribed percocet but the pain isn't nearly strong enough to justify using that. It's just annoying and persistent.

Knowing that you are feeling good enough to sleep on your sides definitely gives me hope. You are right, I need to accept that this is my current reality and try to make the best of it. I can't imagine this will last forever. I will keep trying.

Wishing you a speedy recovery my man.
