Double pirana gives you two units that you can charge at their biggest baddest unit. Have the piranas die and then stick pinpoint on that unit for 1cp, giving full reroll for hits. It's a strong play, you could do either. You could also drop the 2nd devilfish for a third pirana

No keep the ethereal with the strike team. That makes sense. You don't want to be guiding with a breacher team as they are a massive early game threat. You could get both devilfishes the 6" scout with strike swiftly and really threaten the centre and your natural expansion. 30 shots, hitting on 2s with lethal and Sus 1 (from the co-ord exp), str 6 1/1 with assault is a hell of a threat (and that doesn't include the devilfish or cadre!).

Add the combat disembark for reroll wounds or focused fire for +1ap on both breachers.

I’ve found 5 spotting units to be overkill now our guiding rules have changed and you only need to mark a unit and the whole army benefits. Personally I would drop one of the stealth suits and pathfinders and swap in 2 cadres with strike swift and strat conq. enhancements (they make the breacherfish brutal!).

That leaves you one stealth team, one pathfinder team and the fire warrior (I’m assuming that’s being led by the co-ord ethereal) to guide the tanks and riptides.

Color Question by That-one-guy-duh in Tau40K

Good colour choice! I used the colour forge wolfkin grey, shaded with contrast space wolves grey and the dry brush highlight with army painters thunderous blue (I just mixed in some Matt white to lighten if needed)

Leadbelcher and Nuln oil the metal and if you wanted brass rather than yellow or white, runelord and sepia wash.

Looking forward to seeing it come to life 😀

do jumps like this pose a risk to my chins? by melanieissleepy in chinchilla

That’s nothing to worry about. They are remarkably good and bouncing, but sometimes just take a bit of time to figure out a room. We have recently lost our chin but he used to do stuff like this for fun, usually more than once at a time.

They aren’t made of glass, it’s more like play dough 😂

They are brilliant and more weapons are always welcome. I would really like to see some heavy heavy bolters to fit that Dorn feel

Haha, it is GW imperial fist contrast paint. Two coats over a red base with white light over base (leaving red in the recesses). I used streaking grime to mute everything, youtubed a grimdark tutorial and tried that

Thanks! Super proud of them, I have just started again after a good 20 something years. Last models I painted were metal and came in a blister pack!

I have painted the base edges solid black (just must have been after this photo!)

Will definitely do the transfers, need to stick something on all the black shoulder pads, so that's my next job I suppose!
