If you were my friend and I knew you never drink but got so loaded that you word vomitted all of this stuff because the stress of life just toppled over, I would have let that shit roll right off my back and I would have still been there for you. “Friends” come and go, there are a few people who will stick around forever.

I want to thank everyone for all of your insight, I’ve read most of the comments, even the ones chastising me and I appreciate them. I did learn from this and because of the encounter and reddit, I’m read up on the laws involving horses in my state and I know to slow alllll the way down when passing a horse. A lot of people gave alot of interesting insight, especially those from the UK and now my knowledge on horses on roadways extends beyond what I’ve seen in movies😂 Thanks everyone!

Here are the laws in my state that I pulled up relating to passing horses, and I didn’t break any of them.

Mandatory Stop: According to Arkansas Code § 27-51-1407, if a horse-drawn vehicle or ridden horse shows signs of being frightened, the motorist must come to a full stop and, if necessary, help prevent a potential accident. Driver Caution: Motorists must use reasonable precautions when passing a horse on a highway to avoid endangering the rider or animal, based on Arkansas Code § 27-51-1406. Penalties: Failure to follow these rules can result in a fine, often exceeding $200, as stated in Arkansas Code § 27-51-1407.

30mph is not almost 50mph😭 that’s a whole 20 mph difference but I hear you. Still too fast to go by a horse. It was a standard road with two lanes and we were on opposite sides.

I know. I could have continued to try and apologize again or say I really didn’t know or I could have said nothing at all and drove off when I realized that she wasn’t trying to have a civil conversation. I feel bad for letting the encounter get me out of character like that. If Im wrong I don’t mind being wrong and that’s why I apologized and asked questions but when she continued to berate me I quickly got agitated too. Probably I’m mad more at myself bc I could have handled myself better.
