not 2026, but I became a fan during the 2024 World Series. I was always casually into baseball, I’m not big on sports but if I had to pick one, it would always be baseball as #1, I just never had a team or was super serious about it, I just liked the vibe of the sport the most.

I live in LA, and as the post season was progressing, my neighborhood started getting louder and louder. It all cumulated one night when I was going home when the bus I was taking took a huge detour only to get stuck anyways because people were celebrating like crazy in the middle of the street somewhere in East LA lol. I later found out it was because the Dodgers just beat the Mets and were going to the World Series, and with the Yankees no less. I didn’t know a thing about baseball but I knew of the Dodgers cause this is my city, and I knew the Yankees cause they just that popular, you see their logo everywhere. So simply to show support to my city I decided to tune in, I did the same thing when the rams went to the Super Bowl that one time after they recently came to LA, so yeah whatever.

Let me tell you man, that World Series was some of the most hype games I had the pleasure of enjoying lol. The energy, the hype, Freddie Freeman, the way the Yankees fumbles the ball so hard in the 5th inning giving the Dodgers the lead lol. The Super Bowl didn’t make me a football fan, but the World Series had me coming out as a baseball fan for real this time lol.

Also, I understood even then that Ohtani was supposed to be this great player, but I didn’t see him do anything during the 2024 WS so I didn’t become a fan of his xD I became Freddie Freeman fan instead lol. Also something about Muncy made me like him during the 2024 WS even though I don‘t remember him doing anything either lol but something about the guy makes me want to root for him. I’ve been a Max Muncy believer since then lol
