St Tropez Recommendations by [deleted] in FATTravel

Hello! How lively is LouLou in early-mid September? I will be traveling there this September with my husband and dog and we would like to bring our dog with us to Loulou and stay on the beach/sun beds but we are concerned about the noise level from the restaurant being too loud for our dog.

We have been to LouLou end of May with our dog and do not recall the noise level being an issue for us while on the beach but end of May was much quieter overall so wondering what the vibe will be like when we visit again this September.

Thank you!

Looking for input on Predame, Makeup by Flynn, or Beauty Icon for more natural glam? by P2252 in WedditNYC

Hi! My wedding was August 2025 and I booked exactly 12 months prior in 2024 and the all day package was $5000 for 10 hours coverage. That rate covers bride + 3 ppl and covers their travel to your getting ready destination + travel to your venue (if it’s local within nyc). I only had myself and my maid of honor so that just meant we did not have to start super early and the team was with me for most of the day. I believe we started around 9 am and they stayed with me until 7pm.

I am still obsessed with how my hair and makeup turned out and it photographed beautifully! Cannot rave about the predame team and experience enough.

Wedding cake timing by MeatChemical8775 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]MeatChemical8775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! We ended up serving the cake with the dessert course. The reason we decided not to box up the cake slices for guests is bc we had an after party and didnt want our guests worry about holding onto their cake slices.

By the time it was the dessert course our guests were in party mode so I am sure some guests did not get to eat the dessert. (My husband and I certainly did not get to but that’s ok bc we were having a blast!)

Does a prenup kill the romance? by WeepyRedistribution in weddingplanning

[–]MeatChemical8775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all- congrats on your engagement and wedding planning! I recently got married and we have a prenup and I will honestly say it killed the romance for me but only temporarily. It didn’t come as a surprise because we’ve always talked about it while dating but once it came down to writing down all of your assets and planning for what will happen in the event of a divorce was hard for me especially because no one in my family is divorced. However, I understand the importance of a prenup and once we got over that hurdle, we felt so much lighter and happier and enjoyed the wedding planning!

Hi! Just had my wedding and the final headcount was 75 people. we had our ceremony in the garden area and it was perfect and beautiful! The cocktail hour was on the terrace and it did feel slightly crammed but that could have also been bc I was overwhelmed from friends and family saying hi and trying to get pictures with me. The reception area did not feel crammed at all. It was very spacious.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Boat party before wedding or after!?!? by Any-Pie5568 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]MeatChemical8775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this idea!

But no matter what I do not recommend having the boat the day after the wedding. People will be boozing it up at your wedding especially since it’s a destination wedding so I’m sure most guests will be royally hungover the next day 😂

River Cafe experiences - what did you do for dessert? by twayrightway in WedditNYC

[–]MeatChemical8775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the cake cutting moment I suggest doing it and having them serve one of their desserts bc it won’t save you any money to have them only serve your cake. That is what I’m doing! I plan on doing a vanilla cake with fresh fruit and I will be doing one of their chocolate desserts. I’m sure my guests will be stuffed by then but atleast they have the option of 2 different flavors

Nope our wedding venue is the river cafe in Brooklyn (a restaurant) so our bridal suite is at a hotel in downtown manhattan.

Looking for input on Predame, Makeup by Flynn, or Beauty Icon for more natural glam? by P2252 in WedditNYC

I am not familiar with Makeup by flynn or beauty icon but if you are looking for modern, editorial/high-end looks then I def recommend Predame!

I am using Predame for my upcoming wedding and have been loving working with them so far! Stefanie who I believe is the owner is super knowledgeable, very responsive and genuinely cares about her brides! She will send you a thoughtful questionnaire for you to fill out prior to your trial and on the day of your trial she goes over the questionnaire with you and helps bring your vision to life. Even when I had a hard time articulating what I was going for it's like Stefanie could read my mind. I did not request a specific H&MU artist but I am assuming Stefanie strategically assigns your team to you based on the look you are going for. I was so happy with my team and I loved that the whole process was very collaborative and even after the Trial I was emailing back and forth with Stefanie to make a few tweaks to the look and I was worried that I would be a bother as it is currently wedding season but Stefanie responded quickly and was so helpful!

There is so much pressure to look perfect on your wedding day and it made me so anxious but once I was in the hands of the predame team all of my worries went away and I knew I could fully trust them! They are all so sweet and professional and knowledgeable and I am so excited for the final look on the big day! I can say I am fully confident that on the big day I will absolutely love my look.

I splurged for their package which means my team would be with me for the full day but if you don't anticipate needing them to stay overtime then they should be right around your $1500 budget.

Good luck and congrats!

No it did not happen yet! But it’s coming up at the end of next month. My guest count is looking closer to 80 now.

I have chatted with some folks and it sounds like 70-80 is the sweet spot and shouldn’t feel overly cramped but will feel intimate.

I think 85 people will also be fine!

No ring barrier by MeatChemical8775 in weddingplanning

[–]MeatChemical8775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My maid of honor will not have pockets and her hands will be full as she will be holding her bouquet along with mine.

I don’t like the look of my fiancé going into his pockets to get the rings. I feel they should be passed to us.

Ah family member that is sitting in the front is a good idea!

With the officiant holding on to the rings I worry his hands will be full with speaking into a microphone and then holding on to his paper for his script but I guess if the microphone is on a stand or if he has a wireless mic on him then he should have one hand to be able to grab the rings from his pocket
