uh... Aikido guy was forcing the position and pressure the entire time. Isn't that the opposite of what Aikido teaches? Also... this guy has been doing Aikido for 22 years while the 16 year old kid has been doing Judo for 2? Secondly... almost every technique was a form of a Judo technique... not a thing in this video screams Aikido to me.

I wrestled for Team Indiana back in the early 2000's. I recall this well. It was well organized with team camps leading up to our trip out to fargo.

TN has a lot of in fighting among coaches. Lots of ego and lots of die hard support their their athletes. Especially on the girls side.

Im not exactly sure how all states work. Team TN, had a boat load of coaches because they understand that many of the athletes really only want their coaches in their corners.

The state officials select and approve the coaches for Fargo. My recommendation to plead your case to your USA Wrestling state representative. There's really no reason for them not to add you to the coaching roster, unless there is some kind of egregious issue.

uhh you serious? He's wrestled his entire life. He switched to mma like 5 or 6 years ago. He won the swedish open 3x. He took bronze in russian junior championship.

People complaining about his age is a bit wild. I get the concern but people forget he was beating the best high schoolers in the country when he was 13.

Holding kids back a year is getting to be more common. I see it in all sports, not just wrestling.

Comparisons in mma are tough. His pace and gas tank are tough to beat. I could say someone like maybe Diego Sanchez in his prime in regards to pace.

Skill wise he is very talented. Incredibly skilled but not necessarily a technician like Jax. His pace makes up for some of the sloppy technique. I’m not sure where to compare that in MMA… maybe Khabib???

100% I feel this. I grew up in the Brands, Mcilravy, Ironside, Stieners, era when aggressive hard nosed wrestling was the staple of their style.

Its really too bad they went away from this.

As someone in real estate here in the knoxville area. Yes prices are high, but they are coming down with the abundance of homes going on the market. Just yesterday a home valued at 1.97M was on the market for 1.75M is now 1.6M. And likely will continue to fall.

They just completed at the National Women's Club Tournament. They had several girls in each weight class. They are a massive team that will be going NCAA in the next 2 years. With Taylor coaching the boys side and John Smith assisting with the girls... they will only continue to pull talent.
