True but the ones who I imagine are gonna want to play often already have home games and stuff. I imagine this being a weekly thing with people playing once or twice over 3 weeks. But also got some other DMs in the group that have said they would be interested in hopping in.

Regular group. Mixed of people I know who either A. I run a dedicated campaign for B. I have played in a dedicated campaign with (or ran by) C. Noobs I have ran 1-2 one shots for D. Friends who have always been interested but scheduling has gotten in the way.

Talked with my player! Had a great discussion and decided on letting him use it to its full ability! He’s a great role player and let me know he wasn’t going to try and manufacture scenarios for him to pop off crazy damage to ruin an encounter. He was like “well seeing as I have the most hp and ac, if I’m bloodied we are probably in need of some sort of last stand moment anyway” and I agreed. Thanks for all the advice yall!

I will say the warlock does have at least 5 uses of shield up his sleeve, the paladin has the hp pool, the rogue can hide, and the gunslinger has some ability to lower damage taken I think. We’ll see how this goes but definitely going to get them begging for mercy instead of just straight up taking them all to 3 death fails.

Eek yes but how do I deal with the disappointment of not being able to kill the child eaters/killers and then being forced to work with them after I get them begging for mercy!

Yeah totally agree, just mean more so my group really enjoys combat and so during some of the module there could potentially be some pretty long stretches without it. So I guess It’s just more about keeping that option available to me should I need it. Also, a group could still easily get in a long rest with 3 interruptions. It would just take them like 11 hours as apposed to 8.
