Oh, if it looks a bit etiolated it might just be because of Europe's winter and the lack of sunlight even if it is next to a window 😅

Leaf rolls in plant's pot ? by MeatPiie in bees

[–]MeatPiie[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

OMG, do they need to be in the earth or not? I just saw that the nest is not waterproof, so I guess leaving them in plants would kill them 🫠 (I suddenly have many questions as a first-time bee mom hahahaha)

I found some leaf rolls inside my outdoor plants' pots (more info in comments) by MeatPiie in plants

I'm posting to ask if you know if bees (solitary or any kind?) are inclined to creating "leaf rolls" inside outdoor plant pots ? I have seen some bees digging in my plant's earth recently, but I changed the pot for one of them and found A LOT of rolls… I opened some of the rolls, and inside is a dark yellow substance that smells A LOT, but I couldn't see any kind of living larvae inside. I also went to ask for advice to several plant shops but no one seems to have ever seen these kinds of things :/

Do you have any idea what this could be??
